The Florida Panthers‘ bid to defend their Stanley Cup title is off to a decent start — especially when you consider they’ve dealt with some injuries and absences to key pieces like Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk — and the team has locked up a major piece of the puzzle that led to their first ever Stanley Cup, and that is head coach Paul Maurice.
Just before puck drop against the Minnesota Wild, the team. announced that it had reached a deal with Maurice on a multi-year contract extension.

Just because you’re LeBron James’ son doesn’t mean you’re excused from rookie hazing … especially when LeBron is the perpetrator.
The chatter is ramping up about the LeBron James and Bronny James storyline, which is set to dominate the NBA this year.
Before tipping off Tuesday night, LeBron dropped a Nike-sponsored teaser on his upcoming team-up with his son, which is cringe-worthy at worst and somewhat endearing at best.
Listen, like most folks at OutKick firmly believe, LeBron can come off as holier than thou.

The University of Nevada and San Jose State released a joint statement on Tuesday that says the scheduled women’s volleyball match between the two schools on Saturday is being moved from Nevada to California.
“The Mountain West Conference women’s volleyball match between Nevada and San José State University scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26, has been moved from Reno, Nevada, to San José, California,” the joint statement sent to OutKick said.

One of the most memorable images from Hurricane Milton slamming into Florida’s Gulf Coast was seeing shreds of the Stadium’s fiberglass roof flapping in the wind.

What is the deal with Antonio Brown lately? No, really, did he have an epiphany or something because the man is on a major winning streak – and the climax of that might be him renewing his friendship with Tom Brady.
To take inventory: Brown recently endorsed former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election and even appeared on stage with Trump and former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell at a Pennsylvania rally.
And now Brown is mending fences with perhaps his most famous former teammate ever.

Former NFL running back Kenyan Drake was floored after catching a stray shot on social media. Drake’s name was evoked after someone wanted to complain about Marvin Harrison, Jr. as a ‘bust’ fantasy football pick.
The X account outed himself as having drafted Harrison, the fourth overall pick of this year’s actual draft, in the first round of fantasy, which is a pretty dumb move — and not MHJ’s fault.
Harrison was a coveted name coming out of Ohio State, no doubt.
