After the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Miami Heat 116–105 in the play-in tournament game, Dejounte Murray made it clear he knew there were a lot of Hawks doubters leading up to the matchup for the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference. 
Most talking heads didn’t gave the Hawks a fighting chance to pull off the upset. In addition to being 5.5-point road underdogs, all 17 ESPN analysts picked the Heat to win prior to the contest.
The slight by the entire panel did not go unnoticed by the 2022 All-Star, who retweeted the post displaying the erroneous picks by ESPN’s analysts.

Luis Arráez became the first player in Marlins franchise history to hit for the cycle on Tuesday, recording a double in the first inning, a triple in the sixth inning, a home run in the seventh inning and a single in the eighth inning against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.
That helped Miami (5–7) defeat the reigning National League champions on the road by a score of 8–4 and continued Arráez’s scorching hot start. The infielder has racked up 22 hits with one home run in 41 at-bats to record a slash line of .537/.596/.

Memphis Grizzlies’ Dillon Brooks was the nosiest player of the 2022-23 NBA season. No other player tried as hard to get under opponents’ skin as Brooks.
Eyeing the Los Angeles Lakers as a potential Round 1 matchup, Brooks is already taking shots at the LakeShow; namely their star, LeBron James. Simply put, Brooks isn’t losing sleep over a Lakers postseason matchup.
“I wouldn’t mind playing LeBron [James] in a seven-game series,” Brooks said on Tuesday.

Let’s hope Charles Barkley didn’t visit a sportsbook prior to tonight’s NBA play-in game between the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat. Barkley was so confident the Heat would beat the Hawks, he was willing to bet Shaquille O’Neal $1 billion that Erik Spoelstra’s squad would emerge victorious.
During the pregame TNT telecast, the former 11-time NBA All-Star was even so bold as to state that the “Hawks stink,” and went on to brashly back Miami when questioned by Shaq: “Bet it. Whatever you want to, $1 billion [on Miami].

Celtics star Jayson Tatum elevated his production to new heights in the 2022-23 season, averaging career highs in points (30.1), assists (4.6) and rebounds (8.8) per game.
Tatum’s growth over the years has been on full display as he’s improved each year in the league while becoming a four-time All-Star. However, the ’23 season for Tatum has elevated him to a new echelon of excellence.
With his impeccable stat line this season, Tatum became the first player in NBA history to improve his averages in points, assists and rebounds in each of his first six seasons in the league.

Shane McClanahan was solid once again Tuesday night in leading the Tampa Bay Rays to their 11th consecutive win to open the season. However, it was one specific pitch among his 95 tosses on the night that had social media buzzing.
Facing Boston’s Rob Refsnyder, McClanahan unleashed a vicious 88 mph changeup that broke so hard out of the zone it left the center fielder swinging at absolute air.
Tampa Bay’s ace, who owns a stellar 1.59 ERA, allowed just one run and two hits over five-plus innings, while striking out nine.

USA Today columnist Christine Brennan did some outstanding hypocrisy about LIV golf on Tuesday.
Brennan wrote a lengthy column about The Masters and her frustration with LIV associated golfers ranking near the top of the final leaderboard.

Her problem with LIV stems from the fact that the tour is backed by Saudi money. And as a result, golfers choosing to associate themselves with the Saudis do not deserve to play well or be shown on television.

Trae Young is feeling the Heat!
The fiery Atlanta Hawks star point guard is going off against the Miami Heat and his own coaching staff.
At the end of the first quarter in Tuesday night’s Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament, Young started jawing off at Hawks assistant coach Jamelle McMillan.

Young walked by his coach and started to chew him out, despite the Hawks’ strong lead heading into the second quarter. A Hawks teammate pulled Young away from McMillan as the assistant coach brushed off the ill-tempered player.
