For nearly half a decade, Israel Adesanya had no peer in the middleweight division. Adesanya emerged victorious in his first nine bouts in the UFC. From February 2018 to July of last summer, he racked up a dozen straight wins in the division, including five successful title defenses. There were fighters, like Robert Whittaker and Marvin Vettori, who he defeated on two separate occasions during that stretch.

Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James, remains undecided on his future basketball plans nearly a month after his high school career ended.
James recorded a stellar senior season at Sierra Canyon, garnering further national attention as well as increasing his stock in the recent McDonald’s All-American game. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard finished with 15 points, four assists and two steals in 19 minutes despite Bronny’s West team losing 107–106.
Multiple NFL reporters are saying that the New England Patriots are shopping quarterback Mac Jones. Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk reported that earlier this week.

A new report from The Washington Post reveals a pattern of police not talking to witnesses, not following up on investigations and not properly conducting interviews when handling several investigations surrounding Grizzlies star Ja Morant.
In one specific incident, a shoe salesman says police never followed up with him when he filed a report that Morant and eight or nine other men threatened him at his job, forcing him to hide in the back of the store.
Givon Busby, 22, told the Post he spent nearly an hour in the storeroom, at times “shaking” with emotion.
Former ESPN host Dan Le Batard says Endeavor did not comment on a video earlier this year of UFC president Dana White slapping his wife back because of an impending but now-completed merger with WWE.
Le Batard said Tuesday:
“Vince McMahon is back in power, and maybe you don’t care. Maybe you think it’s a small thing. But now you know why Endeavor didn’t comment on Dana White. Now you know.
“They couldn’t have two of them in a cage while the deal was being done. Because the deal wasn’t done yesterday. They couldn’t jeopardize the WWE deal.

UCLA women’s basketball’s leading scorer, Charisma Osborne, has decided to return to college for a fifth season after initially declaring for the WNBA Draft. Her decision stems, partially, from the harsh reality of women’s professional basketball when compared to the collegiate level.
Osborne, a former five-star recruit in the Class of 2019, was the fifth-ranked guard in the country and the No. 22 player overall. She chose to stay in her home state of California and play for the Bruins over offers from USC, Louisville, Duke and Ohio State, among others.
Most teams have at least one quality running back, but many need more depth at the position.

UConn head coach Dan Hurley’s lucky pair of underwear did more than lead his team to an NCAA Tournament title, they also raised a lot of money for a good cause.
How much money did your lucky underwear rake in for charity? I guarantee nothing, save for the occasional side-eye from your significant other when you grab the holey, hanging-by-a-thread skivvies out of the drawer for yet another day of luckless wear and tear.
As it turns out, Hurley’s favored pair of underoos weren’t some tattered pair of Hane’s he picked up in bulk at Costco. No sir. His lucky pair is a set of MeUndies.
