Texas football enters the 2023 season with very high expectations after going 8–5 a year ago. The Longhorns player who is probably the most recognizable to the average fan likely won’t see the field in any meaningful capacity this year, though.
Freshman Arch Manning, nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning, began his collegiate career this year, leaving high school early to enroll in Austin in the winter. Damian Lillard’s NBA future has become the biggest story of the offseason over the past few weeks, as everyone waits to see whether he will actually be traded by the Trail Blazers or if he’ll stick with the franchise that he’s been the face of since joining the league back in 2012. 
The seven-time All-Star reportedly would love to join Jimmy Butler and the Heat, but a potential deal could take a long time to take shape, if at all.
Lillard had the NBA world buzzing Thursday night when he tweeted two words that appeared to be about his feelings—“I’m amazed.

Last year, many athletes and sports personalities got involved in advertising for the cryptocurrency company FTX. However, FTX came crashing down last fall, filing for bankruptcy while founder Sam Bankman-Fried faces criminal charges for fraud.
One of the most famous faces at the front of FTX was Tom Brady, as the former quarterback was a prominent ambassador for FTX at its height. Brady and his then-wife, Giselle Bündchen, began promoting for FTX in 2021 through commercials, TikTok videos and other initiatives.

This is hilarious and sad at the same time.

Sabrina Ionescu will grace the cover of NBA 2K24 WNBA Edition. Ionescu’s cover marks the third WNBA edition of the video game franchise. The Liberty star told Sports Illustrated’s Wilton Jackson that being featured on the cover of the iconic franchise was a “shock” and like a “pinch me moment” after she grew up playing the video game with her brothers, Edward and Andrei.

Our favorite time in the NFL is back: offseason training video time! Throughout the month of July while teams are on break and free agents are searching for teams, players will post videos to social media, normally with the hashtag #grindin or #wework or something like that, and doing something obscenely strong or quick.

This game went totally off the rails.
Everything went off the rails between the Columbus Clippers and Nashville Sounds on Thursday night when an altercation between a batter and catcher escalated into an all-out brawl.

Mike Trout hit the IL this week, causing fantasy managers to shake their fists at the air and wonder, “Why can’t we have nice things?” Trout is expected to miss up to two months with a fractured wrist. He joins sluggers Aaron Judge and Yordan Alvarez, two other first-round picks, that have also had fantasy managers singing the blues.
We got more concerning news Thursday night, when Corbin Carroll left the Mets-Diamondbacks game early with an apparent shoulder injury.
