Brooks Nader broke into the modeling industry back in 2019, when she won the SI Swim Search open casting call competition. Now she returns as one of its four cover models for the 2023 edition of the magazine.
Nader joins Megan Fox, Martha Stewart and Kim Petras as a cover model for the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue. A total of 28 women are featured in this year’s edition.

Philadelphia’s Bryce Harper and Colorado’s Jake Bird were caught in the middle of the scuffle between the Phillies and Rockies on Sunday. After tempers cooled off following the final out, Bird elected to take the high road while reflecting on the incident, while Harper went a different route with his postgame comments.
With the Rockies up 4-0 in the seventh inning, Bird took his time walking off the mound before clapping his glove at Philadelphia’s dugout. Harper didn’t appreciate the gesture and charged toward the reliever.

The news got to the Lions through dribs and drabs.
The first piece of information passed along to team president Rod Wood came Tuesday, with the NFL letting Detroit know it wouldn’t be in an international game. On Wednesday morning, Wood was told that one Lions game would be announced Thursday morning, ahead of the full schedule release. And then came the schedule in full, later in the day Wednesday, with that top line being of most interest.
The one catch was the security around it.

Globally renowned businesswoman Martha Stewart made Sports Illustrated Swimsuit history Monday, as the 81-year-old was revealed as the oldest cover model in the publication’s history.
Stewart rose to fame in the 1980s when she began writing cookbooks after her success as a chef. Since those first cookbooks, Stewart is now the best-selling author to 99 books over the course of her career. She launched her magazine, Martha Stewart Living, in 1990.

It’s official — Ross Chastain has a full-blown NASCAR mutiny on his hands, and the pitchfork-wielding mob seemingly gets a new member each week.
Welcome to the team, Kyle Larson! And hey, while we’re at it, let’s go ahead and welcome Rick Hendrick, too!
The former called Ross the Boss a “hack” after yet another wreck, while the latter stated the obvious: Wreckin’ Ross is gonna have a hard time winning a championship with all the enemies he’s making.
We’ll get to those two pissed off fellas here in a bit.

Is it worth it? No it isn’t.
As the NBA approaches the conference finals, where former MVPs and marquee franchises should be the center of attention, a young star’s fall from grace is again dominating the headlines. And this time, while some are still supporting Ja Morant, the calls for patience and understanding are being replaced by resounding disappointment and anger.
Even supporters of the Memphis Grizzlies and their young “leader” understand the old adage “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

This is the sexy future we’ve been waiting for.
Nobody, and I mean nobody, is taking a more bold approach to sports uniforms than the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters of Japan’s NPB league. This weekend the team debuted their new look, designed by legendary eccentric manager Tsuyoshi Shinjo, and you are not ready.

The future of the UFC’s heavyweight division has arrived.
Jailton Almeida hardly broke a sweat in a complete and utter domination of Jairzinho Rozenstruik this past Saturday in the main event of the UFC on ABC card, winning by submission in the first round.
This was a master class in jiujitsu. Almeida avoided two punches from Rozenstruik, then landed a takedown on his second attempt.

Good morning, I’m Dan Gartland. I was hoping to see Connor McDavid and the Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final, but Canada’s title drought will continue after Edmonton got bounced by the Golden Knights in Game 6 last night.

Plus: The real MVP falters for yet another second-round exit in 112-88 loss
Jayson Tatum continues to shut a lot of doubters up this postseason, showing on Sunday just how much of a killer-instinct he has. Boston had a three-point lead at the half, relying on Tatum for nearly half their points and assists. Tatum was having an MVP-type performance against the officially-named MVP Joel Embiid, who had just 13 points at the time.

In the third quarter, Tatum outscored the Sixers by himself, 17-10, which included four threes on 71.4% shooting overall.
