Add Charles Barkley to the growing list of people weighing in on Joel Embiid’s flagrant foul on Thursday night after many compared the 76ers star’s actions to Draymond Green’s flagrant against the Kings three nights prior.
Embiid received a Flagrant 1 foul early in Thursday’s Game 3 in Brooklyn after kicking Nets forward Nic Claxton between the legs after he tried to step over him.

76ers guard James Harden was ejected after being issued a flagrant 2 foul in Game 3 vs. the Nets on Thursday night.
In the third quarter, Harden was advancing towards the basket when he elbowed Nets forward Royce O’Neale in the groin area. O’Neale appeared to react in pain to the jab as the officials called the Flagrant 2 foul on Harden.
A Flagrant 2 foul in the NBA results in an automatic ejection.
Before leaving the game, Harden was leading the 76ers with 21 points. He also racked up five rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes of play.

As if the first round of the NBA playoffs needed more kicks, 76ers center Joel Embiid decided to give it a try himself.
Early in the first quarter of Thursday’s Game 3 matchup between Philadelphia and Brooklyn, Embiid fell to the floor while fouling Nets center Nick Claxton. After Claxton stepped over Embiid, the MVP frontrunner swiftly kicked Claxton between the legs, glancing him on the leg and leading to an even more heated confrontation.

Dillon Brooks’s confidence to provoke the NBA’s top stars with his pesky antics on the court is unmatched. The latest assignment for the Grizzlies’ forward is limiting the production of Lakers superstar LeBron James in the Western Conference first-round matchup between Memphis and Los Angeles.
Following the Grizzles’ 103–93 win in Game 2 on Wednesday, Brooks did not disappoint in his postgame comments about the four-time NBA champion after staring James down during multiple occasions in the game.
“I don’t care, he’s old,” Brooks said, via ESPN’s Tim MacMahon.

Celtics guard Malcolm Brogdon was named the 2023 NBA Sixth Man of the Year on Thursday.
With this award, Brogdon becomes just the second player in NBA history to win the Sixth Man of the Year title after previously being named the league’s Rookie of the Year (2017), according to ESPN Stats & Info. The only other NBA player to win both awards is Mike Miller, who won the titles in 2006 and ‘01, respectively.
Brogdon also became just the third Celtics player in franchise history to win the award, following Kevin McHale, who won it twice in 1984 and ‘85, and Bill Walton in ‘86.

Nets center Nic Claxton went full A.I. on MVP candidate Joel Embiid.
Claxton hit Embiid with the infamous Allen Iverson-Tye Lu step-over after Claxton disrespected him with a sweet score on a sky-high lob over Embiid.
Embiid didn’t kindly take the disrespect. The Sixers center retaliated by kicking his leg out at Claxton as the Nets player tried stepping over — instantly bringing back memories of Draymond Green’s stomp on Domantas Sabonis from Monday.
This also occurred in the opening minutes of the game; it’s gonna be a slugfest tonight.
