The Lakers legend admitted he’s never been a ‘reaching-out kind of guy.’
LeBron James broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 38-year-long record on Tuesday night when he became the NBA’s all-time scoring leader. Abdul-Jabbar was in attendance for the game and even passed the “baton” by handing James the basketball in the on-court celebration.
On Wednesday, the 75-year-old posted his thoughts about James breaking his record on his personal Sub Stack, sharing his excitement and appreciation for James breaking his almost four-decade-long record.

Former Navy SEAL Chris Fettes was there when a military dog went after Tom Brady.
Several years ago, the now-retired NFL QB revealed that he got bit by a dog following a SEAL Team 6 hostage rescue exercise at Gillette Stadium.
I spoke with former ST6 operator Chris Fettes on “American Joyride” about how it all went down with Tom Brady, and the details didn’t disappoint. Dive in below!

I will have a full interview coming out with Fettes in a few weeks that I can’t encourage you all enough to check out.

Patrick Mahomes could be a two-time Super Bowl champion before turning 28 years old if the Kansas City Chiefs are able to hold off the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. If that happens, conversations comparing Mahomes with Tom Brady need to start, at least that’s according to former Chiefs great Jamaal Charles.
Mahomes is undoubtedly one of the best players of his generation and is well on his way to a spot in the Hall of Fame, but being a Hall of Fame quarterback and being compared to the greatest quarterback to ever do it are two very different things.

Remember former Denver Bronco (and Cardinals) QB Jake Plummer? Well, apparently he’s now a mushroom farmer in Colorado and I gotta tell ya, he’s NAILED the part.
Plummer reemerged out of nowhere last summer when his new passion went semi-viral – more on the ‘shrooms in a bit – and he made another cameo Wednesday at radio row ahead of the Super Bowl.
Well, at least I think it was Jake the Snake!

The Chiefs’ coach on cheeseburgers, rappers, having energy for a chubby guy and more.
1. I told you in yesterday’s Traina Thoughts that I hate Super Bowl week. However, there has been one shining light in the darkness: Andy Reid.
The lovable head coach of the Chiefs has been a breath of fresh air during his interviews this week.
He has said his three keys to life are “rock the Tommy Bahama, eat some cheeseburgers and be happy.”

He’s broken down the keys to a great cheeseburger. (He is so right about the bun.)

He revealed how he functions each day as a noncoffee drinker.

The ball went straight up!
There are plenty of amazing highlights this season. Andre Drummond’s Euro step on Tuesday night was not one of them.

Drummond followed a quite frankly beautiful steal, with one of the saddest finishes I have ever seen in the NBA. A missed dunk is one thing, a trip is another — but slowly executing a Euro step before lofting the ball straight up, touching it and getting hit with a foul is another entirely.
I don’t even know what arc he was going for with this shot, or how it came out like this.
