Americans are expected to bet a shocking amount of money on the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs and Eagles play in the Super Bowl this Sunday in Arizona, and people will be shelling out a ton of money.

A survey released by the American Gaming Association indicates roughly $16 billion will be wagered on the game, according to ESPN.
50.4 million adults are expected to place at least one bet, which comes out to right around 20% of the country’s population.

Team USA skiers representing the country at this month’s World Championships will be wearing climate change-themed suits. Instead of fans focusing on the actual sport, the Americans want viewers to think about climate change as they barrel down the side of a mountain.
Members of the USA ski and snowboard teams have partnered up with the nonprofit organization Protect Our Winters (POW) for the Kappa-branded suits. The Americans will wear the suits throughout the World Championships in France, which officially began on February 6.
At first glance, the suits look awesome.

Considering there’s a Super Bowl appearance on the line, this time looked to be no different.

Question have swirled about the star forward’s availability after Brooklyn traded Kyrie Irving to Dallas over the weekend.
Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said he would not try to “speculate” about the mindset of star forward Kevin Durant after Brooklyn traded away co-star Kyrie Irving to the Mavericks over the weekend.
Irving, who requested a trade from the Nets last Friday, was sent to Dallas alongside Markieff Morris in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith and three draft picks, including an unprotected first-rounder in 2029.

Darius Slay is definitely not a fan of Matt Patricia.
Patricia was Slay’s head coach on the Detroit Lions, and it’s not a secret their relationship was far from stellar. The talented CB was eventually traded to the Eagles in 2020 when it became clear he needed a change of scenery and Patricia was fired during the 2020 season.
The current Patriots staffer went 13-29-1 during his time leading the Lions. It was a terrible run, and Slay hasn’t exactly forgotten his opinion of Patricia.

Super Bowl media day is the most farcical date on the NFL calendar. Players and coaches are herded into the stadium, forced to sit at tiny elevated podiums, or walk around the floor while getting peppered with questions from all angles, often from outlets with questionable credibility.
The issue isn’t so much its construction, but that outside of known NFL reporters the league basically has absolutely no standards for who gets allowed in.
