Buffalo will be in search of a new top assistant in the coming days.
The Bills will be in need of a new defensive coordinator next fall after announcing that Leslie Frazier plans to take the 2023 season off from coaching.
In a release Tuesday morning, Buffalo revealed that Frazier will step back from his top assistant role next season. However, the well-regarded defensive coordinator plans to return to the sidelines in 2024 after a year away.
The franchise did not reveal Frazier’s reason for taking the year off or who his replacement will be in the release.

There’s a lot of talk about what ends up being the most important element of the combine itself. Some swear that hitting the measurables on weigh-ins is the only part that matters.
“I was born to do this. I was born to be Microman.”
Seven years ago, with the morning air unusually thick, Último Guerrero ran another of his training sessions for aspiring wrestlers. As sweat dripped from the faces of the aspiring luchadores, it was impossible to determine who would become a star. But it was undeniable who refused to quit.
Drill after drill, session after session, one determined young man refused to accept any other fate than his destiny. For Microman, only one option existed: he was going to be a pro wrestler.
Timme time is up at Gonzaga. Well, almost.
Drew Timme, Gonzaga’s senior forward, announced Tuesday that he’ll forego his final year of eligibility after the season.
Timme’s currently in his fourth year with the Bulldogs and because of the Covid year, he’d be eligible for an additional season if he wanted to stay in Spokane.
But that won’t be the case.
“I’ve done my four years,” Timme told The Athletic’s Seth Davis. “I’m a senior, and I’m moving on.

Derek Carr will have a full slate Tuesday in Indianapolis.
The former Raiders quarterback is on the hunt for a new team after being cut loose, and he’ll have three meetings with franchises while the combine is underway.
Carr will meet with the Jets, Saints and Panthers in Indy, according to Ian Rapoport. He’s previously met with the Jets and Saints. Carolina is a new addition.
When QB Derek Carr arrives in Indianapolis today, he’ll have in-person free agent meetings with 3 teams: The #Jets, the #Saints, and the #Panthers.
Long live the pitch clock!
If you’ve watched baseball at all in your life then you know the game can sometimes become really, really slow. And when that happens, it becomes really, really hard to watch.
Well, things are going to be a lot different this year in Major League Baseball as there will be a pitch clock that is already making spring training games a lot faster, which in turn makes those games a lot more enjoyable to watch.

Jacob deGrom and Gerrit Cole are co-favorites, but there’s betting value further down the list.
Jacob deGrom and Gerrit Cole are the favorites for the 2023 AL Cy Young at SI Sportsbook.
DeGrom (+600) has a new home in Arlington, Texas, and the two-time NL Cy Young winner will be looking for his first award in the American League. There’s no question that deGrom is an elite pitcher, the only real question is health. DeGrom has pitched only 156 innings across the past two seasons, with his last season of 200-plus innings coming in 2019 with his last NL Cy Young Award.
