Looking at how the top three stack up, along with the rest of the first round
The 2023 MLB Draft is just days away.
And the Pittsburgh Pirates have a fascinating decision on their hands.
Do they add Paul Skenes, the LSU pitcher who was dominant this season and looks like he could step into an MLB rotation right now? Or do they draft his teammate Dylan Crews, the outfielder who brings five tools to the table as a prospect?
Then there is a player they beat in the Men’s College World Series Finals in Florida’s Wyatt Langford, who has his own case as the top player in the class.

Making the right choice can be the difference between winning and losing, both in the National Football League and in the world of fantasy football. Case in point. In the 2020 NFL draft, the Raiders had the No. 12 overall pick. Needing a wide receiver, they selected Henry Ruggs out of Alabama. Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, Brandon Aiyuk and Marquise Brown were all still available.
Ruggs posted fewer than 500 yards in each of his first two NFL seasons before an off-the-field incident ended his career.

Jonathan India would like to remind people that he’s only 26.
The Reds second baseman is hardly a grizzled veteran. He’s not far removed from his Rookie of the Year campaign in 2021, and sometimes, he still finds certain facets of life in the big leagues to be trying. But in Cincinnati’s clubhouse right now? With rookies galore, by comparison, India is an old pro.
“Everyone’s been saying that: You’re a veteran now. But I’m only in my third year!” India says. “It’s funny, they’ll ask me all these questions, and I still haven’t figured it all out yet.

The Orioles clobbered the Yankees, 14–1, Thursday night in the Bronx, but manager Brandon Hyde didn’t get to see the end of the game as he was ejected in eighth inning with his team up by 14 runs.
Hyde, who later called it the “weirdest” ejection of his life, went out to talk to the umpires after both benches got warnings after a Baltimore batter was hit by a pitch. He was understandably confused about why his team would need a warning and wanted to get some clarification.
Instead, he got tossed from the game.

It’s Friday, and here at SI Betting, we like to have fun with some plus-money bets as we head into the weekend.
Here are a couple worth a spin tonight!
For starters, we’re going to repeat our winning play from Thursday, taking the Guardians to cover the run line again tonight vs. the Royals for plus money (+105).
A lot of the reasoning remains the same: The Royals have the second-worst record in the MLB (25-63). They also have the worst record vs. the run line this season, covering only 34.5% of the time (34-57).

The actor is at Silverstone filming an upcoming F1 movie, and was the topic of the day Thursday
At Thursday’s press conferences ahead of the British Grand Prix, one driver was a massive topic of discussion.
Sonny Hayes.
Of course, Sonny Hayes is not currently a driver on the grid this Formula 1 season, but rather a character being portrayed by actor Brad Pitt in an upcoming Apple Original movie focused on F1.

Welcome to 32 teams in 32 days. To get us through the offseason, we’ll be taking a closer look at every team in the league, in order of projected 2023 win totals. Up next: the Ravens.
The Ravens can claim that, ever since 2018, when Lamar Jackson joined the league, they have had one of the best rushing attacks in NFL history. But that hasn’t gotten them far in the postseason, partly because of a sluggish passing game.

Of the 32 NFL teams, a dozen are still without a Super Bowl title.
Sure, some have championships predating Super Sunday. The Cardinals won it all in 1925 and ’47. The Lions and Browns dominated the ’50s, winning six rings between them. In the American Football League, the Bills, Chargers and Oilers—now Titans—combined for five titles in the early ’60s.
Yet by Super Bowl standards, those six are part of a group along with the Vikings, Jaguars, Texans, Panthers, Falcons and Bengals in their quest for a Lombardi Trophy.
