Kevin Na was in the first group off at Augusta National on Thursday, and nine holes later, his Masters was over.
Na, one of 18 LIV golfers in the field this week, withdrew from the year’s first major citing an illness. He shot a four-over 40 on the first nine holes that included a double bogey on the opening hole.

With Na withdrawing, this left Mike Weir all alone for the back nine.

Golf fans almost universally agree that The Masters is the best week of the year the sport has to offer. The combination of tradition, beautiful scenery and the best players in the world competing for a coveted prize isn’t exactly a difficult sell.
But one of the underrated reasons The Masters maintains its credibility as a top-tier event is the level of detail included in the incredible Masters official app.

Cam Newton is eyeing an NFL comeback. The 33-year-old has not played a down of professional football since 2021, but has hope for a return in 2023.
Newton, who was drafted No. 1 overall in the 2011 NFL Draft, was the MVP in 2015 and reached three Pro Bowls after winning two national championship and the Heisman Trophy at Auburn. Although his career is fairly well-decorated, it never quite reached the summit.
The Panthers lost back-to-back Divisional Round appearances in 2013 and 2014 before making a run to the Super Bowl a year later during Newton’s best season.

Two women lawmakers, Reps. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) and Maria Salazar (R-FL) have introduced a bipartisan bill to address and promote fairness and equity in women’s sports.
The Women in NCAA Sports (WINS) Act would establish a 16-member congressional commission to study equality in the NCAA’s operation of tournaments and other programs for which there are men’s and women’s divisions.

Longtime Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware will be enshrined in Canton, Ohio in the Pro Football Hall of Fame later this summer, and he wants Dallas owner Jerry Jones to be his presenter.
Ware broke the news to the Cowboys owner in a moment that was captured on the team’s social media accounts.
“You were the voice that welcomed me into the Hall of Fame and I want for you, I want that voice to keep going and you be my presenter this year for the Hall of Fame,” Ware said to Jones.
“I just can’t tell you what an honor it is,” Jones replied.

A move the first lady has since apologized for. Now Reese is suggesting that the Tigers should just ignore the presidential visit all together and go hang with Barack and Michelle Obama.

Hülkenberg finished seventh in Australia, but is there cause for concern for Haas, Alfa Romeo, and Ferrari?
Haas driver Nico Hülkenberg survived a frenetic finish — and a near-collision in the early stages — to come across the line seventh in the Australian Grand Prix. While a post-race protest from the team was denied, the six points were a much-needed result for Haas, and Hülkenberg.
However, what happened just as the race came to a close under a safety car could be cause for worry at both Haas, Alfa Romeo, and Ferrari.

Tiger Woods is on the course in the first round of his 25th appearance at Augusta National.
