Kevin Durant walked onto the court inside the Footprint Center to chants of “KD” and cheers from Suns fans on Thursday as Phoenix introduced its newest forward to the public.
Durant, who was traded from the Nets to the Suns as part of a blockbuster deal earlier this month, could feel the Suns excitement of his arrival from the moment he exited the plane after landing in the Valley.

Former MLB pitcher Rob Dibble joined Dan Dakich today on OutKick. Dibble didn’t hold back discussing MLB rules changes, and his view of Commissioner Rob Manfred.
“It’s idiotic,” Dibble responded to a question about MLB’s implementation of a pitch clock, and he was just getting started.
“I heard what Theo Epstein said [and] it was idiotic. He’s working for Rob Manfred who doesn’t love baseball the way we do.
“I think the game is fine. You can have analytics, you can have old-school mentality, it all works,” Dibble continued.

The longtime catcher and broadcasting legend, who died Thursday at 81, had a deep and prolific impact on the game.
In the summer of 1959, a writer from Memphis, David Bloom, visited Rochester, N.Y., and the Triple-A Red Wings to check in on 17-year-old catcher Tim McCarver, who had graduated only two months earlier from Memphis’s Christian Brothers Academy.
“As for McCarver, he’s on a perpetual picnic,” Bloom wrote. “Happiest guy around, full of fun, in the midst of everything the Red Wings do.”
The picnic never ended, at least not until he took his last breath.
