As Lamar Jackson continues to live in contract purgatory with the Ravens after being tabbed with the non-exclusive franchise tag and requesting a trade from Baltimore, two former Patriots would like to see New England make a call to gauge Jackson’s value in Baltimore.
Chalk up former Patriots safety Devin McCourty and former Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi as two who would be in favor of New England getting in the mix for Jackson.
This keeps getting weirder.
We are in the middle of the funniest sporting lawsuit of all time, and it’s made even better considering it involves Gwyneth Paltrow.
If you haven’t been following along, Paltrow is being sued by 76-yea-old Terry Sanderson, who is seeking $300,000 for a skiing collision which took place in 2016. Sanderson claims that Paltrow was “out of control” on the slopes of Park City, Utah — alleging that the incident caused him to suffer physical, psychological, and emotional damage as a result.
Hailey Van Lith and the Louisville Cardinals saw their season end in the Elite Eight at the hands of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Caitlin Clark’s record-setting triple-double. While the loss stings, Van Lith isn’t going to let it define nor motivate her.
While most athletes are motivated by tough losses, hardships in their personal life, or other external factors, Van Lith doesn’t roll that way.
Asked if the loss to Iowa will motivate her heading into next season, the junior gave a stern, eye-opening answer.
“I’ll be completely honest. I’m not motivated by external factors.
North Carolina’s top scorer, Caleb Love, has announced he’s entering the transfer portal, in another disappointment for Tar Heels fans.
Love posted to Twitter on Monday that he’s entering the portal after a “rewarding” career at UNC.
He said that he came to the decision after taking “some time with my family to re-evaluate what’s best for me to continue to grow as a player.”

With the recent uptick of player movement in college basketball, many fans are inclined to believe any rumors surrounding the transfer portal no matter how big the name.
That fact made itself abundantly clear Tuesday morning, as speculation surrounding Purdue center Zach Edey spread like wildfire before the man himself stepped in to shut them down.
“My people are telling me Zach Edey is in the transfer portal,” former Indiana coach and frequent provocateur Dan Dakich said on Twitter.

Ahead of the United States women’s national team’s upcoming friendlies against Ireland next month, a surprising but welcome name appeared on group’s latest roster: two-time World Cup champion Julie Ertz.
Ertz, who last played for the USWNT at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, was named to Vlatko Andonovski’s final 26-player training camp roster on Tuesday. The group will make up the last roster before the final squad for the 2023 World Cup is revealed in the coming months.
