With his basketball obligations over, Charles Barkley attended the Stanley Cup Finals on Saturday, which resulted in an apparently strange interaction with Jack Eichel. Barkley explained on the Sportsnet broadcast that he didn’t believe Eichel knew who he was based on their conversation.
“The other day I was at the hotel. I walked up to Jack Eichel and said how great he was. I think he had zero idea who I was,” Barkley said on the broadcast. “He looked at me like, ‘Who the hell are you?’ It was pretty funny.
