The former Eagles star is headed to Detroit.
The Lions made a big splash in free agency on Sunday, reportedly agreeing to a deal with former Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the safety is headed to Detroit on a one-year, $8 million deal which includes $6.5 million in fully guaranteed money.
Gardner-Johnson, who was one of the top free agents left on the market, recorded a league-high six interceptions last year, playing a key role in Philadelphia’s run to the Super Bowl.

Via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Ham provided an update on James’ injury, and while he didn’t hone in on a specific date, he indicated a return during the regular season is on the cards for the 38-year-old.
“We anticipate him coming back at some point,” said Ham of LeBron.
