Neyland Stadium is among the loudest venues not only in college football but in all of sports, yet former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron doesn’t believe the noise created by the 100,000-plus fans is exactly genuine.
The conspiracy theory about Tennessee football pumping crowd noise into Neyland Stadium came to the forefront this past Saturday during the Vols’ 24-17 win over the Crimson Tide when Alabama play-by-play man Chris Stewart stated that Tennessee pumps in noise while live on air.

Following another back operation, Tiger Woods is not among the initial field at the Hero World Challenge in December.
As of right now, Tiger Woods will not play in the Hero World Challenge.
The Hero World Challenge, which Woods hosts every December in the Bahamas, is a made-for-TV event featuring a 20-man field. Xander Schauffele had an outstanding 2024 season, but even he knows the Player of the Year award is not his.

Seven NBA players signed extensions for nearly $800 million. Let’s grade those deals from both sides.
There’s no day better than payday. On the brink of the 2024-25 season, the league’s annual deadline for rookie extensions came to pass with some absolutely ridiculous money thrown around to players casual basketball may not have ever heard of.
In total, seven players signed contracts for just short of a combined $800 million. It’s good to be young in this era of the NBA with that new TV deal money pumping through the sport.

The Ravens quarterback seems poised to win his third NFL MVP with how he’s playing this season.
Lamar Jackson is playing some of the best football of his career right now.
At first blush that statement might seem outlandish. After all, we are talking about a quarterback coming off his second MVP season, which he won a year ago when he secured 49 out of 50 first-place votes. That fell one first-place vote shy of making Jackson one of the rare “unanimous” MVP winners, a feat he did manage to accomplish back in 2019.

Is Baker Mayfield a Zyn guy?
For those of you reading this with your innocence still intact (good for you!), Zyn is easily the most popular nicotine pouch brand in America.
If you run into a dude rocking an American flag hat, cowboy boots, flannel and a nice little concealed carry pistol, there’s almost a 100% chance he has a tin of Zyn in his pocket.
I can’t go anywhere in Washington, D.C. without guys handing it out like candy. People simply can’t get enough of the nicotine stimulant. I’m not endorsing it. I’m simply stating the fact of the matter.
