Here are our picks for the second week of the playoffs.
We’re drawing ever closer to the Super Bowl. It’s the NFL Divisional Playoff round and in a lot of ways this bodes to be even more exciting than the Conference Championships.
That’s largely because of one reason: Ravens vs. Bills. The game of the weekend is also the game of the season, and it feels like whoever wins in Buffalo will eventually move on to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.

Despite being on opposite sides of the issue, McIlroy and Rahm both expressed positive opinions about LIV Golf’s new CEO.
LIV Golf announced this week that it hired former NBA executive Scott O’Neill to serve as the league’s new CEO. O’Neill, of course, replaces the controversial Greg Norman, who served as commissioner since the league’s inception in 2022.

It has been a rough season for the Nashville Predators, but it’s nothing San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and a nice, $15 arena brewski can’t solve.
The Preds have been in the middle of a nightmare season, despite a busy offseason that had some (*sheepishly raises hand*) thinking they could be one of the contenders in the Central Division.
However, this is a franchise that needs a little bit of magic to get rolling. Remember last season? They ripped through the spring after canceling plans to see a U2 concert at The Sphere in Las Vegas.

Here’s three reasons why the Chiefs can beat the Texans
I have a rule for picking rematches when it comes to football: the second time two teams play, I normally pick the team that didn’t win the first time to win the second time.
However, with the rematches this week in the NFL playoffs, I find myself breaking that rule, especially with Chiefs-Texans. Despite Houston’s defense looking like the second coming of the 2000 Ravens in their wildcard victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, I can’t pick against QB Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Natisha Hiedeman will join the Phantom with Marina Mabrey sidelined with a calf strain.
Unrivaled is adding another player in the wake of injury, the new 3-on-3 professional women’s basketball league announced Friday afternoon, just hours before gameplay begins. Natisha Hiedeman, a Minnesota Lynx guard and six-year WNBA veteran, will join the Phantom club given the fact that Marina Mabrey is out for 2 to 4 weeks with a right calf strain she suffered in training camp.

Well, one of these stories of a high-profile athlete having their home burglarized in recent months has a somewhat happy — if not kind of bizarre — ending.
This week it was reported that Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin’s Pittsburgh-area home was broken into, and his three Stanley Cup rings were missing.
Well, thankfully those rings have been recovered… from inside the Russian forward’s house.
The Allegheny Police Department announced the news on their X account.

The heavyweight match of the weekend has one team with the edge.
It’s the game of the weekend, if not the entire season. Ravens vs. Bills is the heavyweight matchup of the AFC, with the winner likely cementing themselves as Super Bowl favorites. Two of the league’s best offenses, led by two quarterbacks with equal claim for the MVP award — it doesn’t get much better than this.
There are reasons you could pick Buffalo here.

We haven’t heard Dick Vitale call a college basketball game since 2023, and if you ask me, that’s way too long of a stretch. But on January 25, that wait will be over.
ESPN announced that next Saturday, Vitale is going to be courtside when the Duke Blue Devils take on the in-state rival Wake Forest Demon Deacons in Winston-Salem, NC. Vitale had been out of the broadcasting booth for almost two years due to a battle with vocal cord cancer. But last week, the legendary announcer received some great news when he was announced cancer-free.
