Rookies have become a far more important part of the fantasy football landscape in recent seasons, as the likes of Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, Najee Harris, Jaylen Waddle and others have made an immediate impact. This year’s crop might not be as robust as in recent seasons, but there are some potential breakout players like Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs who could shine in Year One.
With that said, here’s a look at my updated top 30 rookie rankings for those fantasy fans in dynasty leagues.

The Raiders’ situation at quarterback definitely isn’t perfect. But it isn’t completely dire, either. Over the weekend, ProFootballTalk dug up the details of Jimmy Garoppolo’s contract with the Raiders and found an addendum that materially changed the terms of the agreement. Without going through (and boring you with) the specific language, the crux of the deal is that Garoppolo failed his physical because of the left foot injury he suffered in December, which more or less forced him into a waiver situation.
Following a 19-point home loss in Game 7 on Monday night, the Celtics joined another prominent team in the city, the Bruins, in losing a home Game 7 that eliminated them from the playoffs.
It is certainly not the first time the Celtics or the Bruins have lost a home Game 7 to be eliminated from the playoffs, but the two Boston franchises did make unfortunate history this season. Per John Hollinger of The Athletic, Boston became the first city to lose a home Game 7 to an 8-seed in both hockey and basketball in the same season.
Young played in the majors from 1982 to 1989.
Travis Hunter Jr. is the most interesting case study in college football this fall. Not only is Colorado going to be must-watch T.V. with Deion Sanders at the helm, win or lose, but his star wide receiver is also his star cornerback.
Hunter is a full-time, two-way player— and might be the only one on the Power Five level. Certainly with his amount of playing time. He rarely came off of the field at Jackson State last season, and that is set to be the case again in Boulder.
Balancing both positions poses an interesting challenge.

With one-third of the season over, the entire National League reached Memorial Day still thinking playoffs. Even the worst team, the 23–31 Nationals, are five games out of a wild-card spot. It is a function of both the extra wild card added last season and abject mediocrity.
For inspiration, every middling team can look to the 2022 Phillies—including the ’23 Phillies. Last year’s Phillies are proof that in an expanded playoff world you are never more than two or three hot weeks from the playoffs (and possibly a change of managers).
Cheese rolling remains the stupidest, most dangerous sport in the world.
Cheese rolling is the stupidest sport on the face of the earth. I also absolutely love it exists. Every year hundreds of competitors gather at The Cooper’s Hill Cheese Rolling Competition, one of the steepest hills in Glouchester to run down as fast as they can, with the winner getting a wheel of cheese.
With the NBA Finals now set, what are the best bets to consider?
Jimmy Butler predicted the Heat’s Game 7 win in Boston a year ago.
Jimmy Butler went for the “kill shot.” His pull-up three-pointer would have put the Miami Heat ahead of the Boston Celtics with about 16 seconds remaining in Game 7 of the 2022 Eastern Conference Finals, but it missed. Boston got the rebound, made its free throws, and avoided what would have been a stunning collapse by punching its ticket to the NBA Finals.
We all knew the ending YEARS ago… if only we noticed.
Obvious ‘Succession’ finale spoiler alert: If you keep reading from here on it’s your own fault.
Our national love affair with America’s worst family ended on Sunday night when after four seasons Succession finally told us who would actually be succeeding Logan Roy. When the dust settled it was none other than Tom Wambsgans who became the inoffensive, U.S.-puppet CEO of Waystar-Royco where he’s destined to be shit on by Lukas Mattson for the next 20-30 years, and smile while it happens.
