Last year’s winner, Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, opened at +1000 to win Defensive Rookie of the Year. We recommended that pick and hope you enjoyed the 10-to-1 payout. There is another cornerback at +1000 odds to open the season and a cornerback has taken home the award three times in the last 10 years, but oddsmakers have four edge defenders among the favorites.

Last season, MLB introduced in-game interviews during nationally televised games, and the reviews were universally positive. We’re talking about interviews with players while they’re competing in a game, as opposed to players speaking during a rest day.
It was a whole new fan experience to watch and listen as players were interviewed by broadcasters while playing the outfield or warming up for their at-bat. But, naturally, players were hesitant to accommodate the distraction—so there was a nice monetary incentive.

Former NFL star J.J. Watt and his wife, Kealia, who is a professional soccer player, announced Monday they’ve become minority investors in Burnley Football Club in England. 
In a hilarious video that the couple shared on social media, Watt announced that he’s “officially retiring from retirement” because of his love for football … this time, the European kind. 
At one point, the video jokes that Watt “wants to be Ryan Reynolds,” the co-owner of Welsh football club Wrexham AFC, which has been the subject of the docuseries Welcome to Wrexham.
