Some major shakeups take place in this mock, right before the NFL Draft
It’s almost here.
The 2023 NFL Draft is mere hours away, and finally we will have a sweet reprieve from everything that came with this cycle of the NFL Draft. This one has had everything, from athletic outliers, to Vegas sportsbooks being influenced by Reddit, our most powerful source of information.
This is the final iteration of the SB Nation mock drafts, and this one is thanks to the generator at Pro Football Network. Trades will be shown, but values can be up to the reader.

The Bucks completely collapsed in the fourth quarter of Game 5 for one of the sorriest first round exits in NBA history.
The Milwaukee Bucks were the safest pick to win the championship entering the 2023 NBA Playoffs. Part of that was because we’ve seen this team do it before: Milwaukee won the title in 2021 with a very similar roster, and may have went back-to-back last year if not for Khris Middleton’s knee injury in the playoffs. The Bucks were said to have ‘the best player in the world’ in Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Maryland football coach Mike Locksley wants to see an injection of major money into college football locker rooms.
Money in college sports has been a major topic for years, and it’s never been bigger now that athletes can cash in through NIL. The amount of money flying around has led to chaos in the transfer portal. However, overall, players being able to earn money seems to be a net positive.
Mike Locksley would even like to see things go further with direct payments from schools.

Earlier this month, FMIA’s Peter King shared a quote from a longtime agent that said, “The mocks this year are going to be laughable.”
As Yogi Berra said, it’s “tough to make predictions, especially about the future.”
It’s NFL draft day morning, so here is my final mock. Three schools—the usual suspects (Ohio State, Georgia and Alabama)—are tied for the most prospects (three each) in the first round below. There’s a legitimate chance that the first two selections of this year’s draft will have been collegiate teammates.
Deion Sanders isn’t sweating how many players have left Colorado under his watch.
Colorado has seen more than 25 players enter the transfer portal in the past few days, according to CBS Sports, and most of those were not voluntary.
Many players were sent packing to make room for Deion Sanders’ new guys. As of Wednesday night, only 13 scholarship players from the 2022 team remained, according to Max Olsen. That’s simply a jarring stat, and it’s a sign Deion wasn’t playing games when he promises roster turnover.
Back in the summer of 2021, when the Knicks were humbled in a gentleman’s sweep during their first playoff appearance in nearly a decade, they were missing plenty of things.
To begin that series against the Hawks, New York coach Tom Thibodeau rolled out starting guard Elfrid Payton, a solid defender, but a clear offensive liability because of his suspect jumper. Aside from the postseason experience the team lacked in general, RJ Barrett—the team’s second-leading scorer that year—was 20, and still in his second year as a professional.
Drew Maggi, 33, appeared as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning Wednesday night, striking out in his lone at bat in his first major league game since being drafted in 2010.
The Knicks are moving on to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2013 following Wednesday night’s close-out victory over the Cavaliers in Game 5.
Desmond Bane helped Grizzlies deliver on his promise they would stave off elimination in Game 5 against the Lakers, then predicted his team is “going to be back for a Game 7 in front of the best fans in the NBA.
The Heat rode 42 points and a sensational tying shot from Jimmy Butler to an overtime win over the Bucks that eliminated the NBA’s top overall seed from the playoffs.
