Hoskins went down attempting to field a ground ball.
Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins was carted off the field during Thursday’s spring training game against the Tigers after falling down awkwardly while attempting to field a ground ball. Hoskins remained on the ground in pain for several minutes while being tended to by trainers.
The injury occurred just a week before Opening Day, making it particularly brutal timing for Hoskins and the Phillies.

The 30-year-old has spent his entire career with Philadelphia after being selected by the team in the fifth round of the 2014 draft.

As first reported by Front Office Sports, the court documents alleging that the PGA Tour interfered with LIV Golf acquiring a TV deal were filed in federal court late Wednesday night. The PGA Tour exec that LIV Golf is alleging had their hand in the situation is Theirry Pascal, the managing director of PGA Tour International UK and senior VP of international media.

The host of the network’s weekday morning show Get Up underwent a heart procedure earlier this week, according to his wife, Stacy.
“For those asking: Greeny had a cardiac ablation on Monday. Recovery is slow, he has to do nothing and believe me….he’s not great at that! We both really, really appreciate all the nice messages.”
A cardiac ablation is a procedure to treat an irregular heartbeat.

He reportedly underwent surgery and will be out several months.
Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler recently underwent surgery after suffering a partially torn pectoral muscle while training away from the team, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. It’s unclear at this time how the injury occurred.
The recovery timeline is estimated to be between four to six months. If he were to fully recover in four months, that would put his return in July—in time for training camp. A six-month rehabilitation would push his recovery into the regular season.
