Sandy Alcantara is the favorite to repeat, but there are other contenders who offer better value.
The reigning NL Cy Young, Sandy Alcantara, is the favorite at +475 to repeat in 2023 at SI Sportsbook.
Alcantara impressed last season, pitching to a sparkling 2.28 ERA (fifth) across an MLB-leading 228⅔ innings pitched. The Marlins ace is not a high strikeout guy, but he has an impressive five-pitch arsenal. It’s a joy to watch him pitch. There’s no reason to think he can’t repeat the volume from 2022, but with a low K-rate (only 8.

Duke guard Tyrese Proctor should be embarrassed by a Tuesday night flop against North Carolina State.
During the 71-67 win for the Blue Devils, the talented guard flopped in truly mind-boggling fashion, but even worse, the refs fell for it. North Carolina State star Terquavion Smith was hit with a technical foul.
The video is so damning against Proctor and the refs that it’s hard to believe it’s real.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers need an heir to Tom Brady — or at least a starting quarterback for 2023 that doesn’t stink — but with their current salary cap and roster makeup the search may feel like a hunt for Jimmy Hoffa or Atlantis.
Hopeless.
And so now the Buccaneers are trying to convince everyone they really, really, truly have hope and, indeed, confidence that Kyle Trask will be the answer in the coming season.
“Yeah, we’re very excited about Kyle,” Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht said Tuesday.

Andre Iguodala has turned into an overpaid cheerleader at this point of his career having played in just 34 games over the last two seasons, but his recent comment comparing Steph Curry to Jesus is over the top, even for him.
Curry is undoubtedly one of the best shooters and point guards to ever step foot on a basketball court. The man has legitimately changed the game of basketball at every level around the globe with kids wanting to shoot threes instead of ever stepping foot inside the paint.

Former NFL star Brandon Marshall dropped a video congratulating Aaron Rodgers on retiring, but there’s just one massive issue:
The Packers QB hasn’t announced he’s retiring or any other decision about his future.
The former standout Chicago Bears receiver shared an Instagram video Tuesday night captioned “@aaronrodgers12 RETIRES.. . CONGRATULATIONS,” and in the video congratulates Rodgers on retiring.
That requires us to ask one very simple question.

There is a growing consensus over the top 4 QBs in the draft, but who is QB5?
With the arrival of the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine, your Twitter timeline and Facebook feed is about to be inundated with footage of prospect media sessions that are difficult to hear, clips of head coaches and general managers remaining coy about their plans, and sportswriters talking about shrimp cocktails.
(Just a heads-up, my trip to St. Elmo’s is scheduled for Saturday night, so be warned).

If Aaron Rodgers were to become a New York Jet, he would immediately become the best quarterback to play for the franchise since Joe Namath, at least on paper. With that in mind, the vast majority of Jets fans are on board with the idea, but one New York legend is completely against the idea.
Joe Klecko, who was recently elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, fears that adding Rodgers to a young Jets locker room could ruin what the team has already built together.
“I don’t think Rodgers is a fit with the young guys,” Klecko said on CBS’ ‘Zach Gelb Show’.
