Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) travels to the Middle East this weekend (Sat., Oct. 26, 2024) for its super-stacked twelfth pay-per-view (PPV) event of the season, UFC 308, from inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
In UFC 308’s PPV main event, newly-minted Featherweight kingpin, Ilia Topuira, makes his highly-anticipated first title defense against Baddest Motherf—ker (BMF), Max Holloway. In the co-main event, Khamzat Chimaev FINALLY returns (fingers crossed) against former Middleweight champion, Robert Whittaker.

We had ourselves an absolutely legendary Game 1 of the World Series last night.
For those who were asleep because they have a toddler and newborn in the house who both refuse to sleep more than three hours – me! – the Dodgers won in extras on a Freddie Freeman grand slam that still hasn’t landed.
Aaron Boone, by the way, is also under attack for being an awful manager, but that’s not the point of this blog. Frankly, neither is the Freddie walk-off.
Nope.

Justin Thomas will begin the final round trailing by two, but he will have an excellent chance to win for the first time since 2022.
It has been a long time since Justin Thomas put himself in this position.
Through 54 holes at the ZOZO Championship, he trails Nico Echavarria by two after a 5-under 65 on Saturday. Thomas began the day facing the same deficit, as Echavarria also shot a 65, thanks to his eagle on the par-5 18th.

Alabama offensive lineman Wilkin Formby gifted Missouri some free bulletin board material.
The Crimson Tide are currently going through a pretty disappointing season, despite being 5-2. That’s a record a lot of teams would love to have.
However, we all know that’s not good enough at Alabama. Losing to Vanderbilt and Tennessee and looking horrible against South Carolina and USF simply won’t be tolerated.
You’d think, given the situation in Tuscaloosa, the players wouldn’t say much at all. The only focus would be on the play on the field.
