Whoever lands Steve Wilks next is getting one hell of a DC.
Normally discussing a defensive coordinator’s availability isn’t something that moves the needle — but nothing about Steve Wilks is normal. On Thursday the Panthers elected to pass over their interim head coach in favor of Frank Reich taking the top job, and in doing so made one of the NFL’s best defensive minds available to the myriad teams in need of help.

Michele Tafoya questions Lisa Guerrero’s recent memoir reveal about miscarriage.
1. “And so, I have my hesitation about, was this truly a devastating miscarriage?”
That is former Sunday Night Football sideline host Michele Tafoya on another former Monday Night Football sideline host, Lisa Guerrero.
Guerrero has a new book out, which was excerpted in Sports Illustrated earlier this week, and in the autobiography she details having a miscarriage while working a game in 2003.

As the Bengals prepare to face the Chiefs on Sunday in the AFC championship game, they will be without two key offensive linemen. The team announced, Jonah Williams and Alex Cappa will both miss the game with their respective injuries.
Williams first suffered a dislocated kneecap in Cincinnati’s wild-card victory over the Ravens two weeks ago, while Cappa has an ankle injury dating back to the team’s Week 18 game against Baltimore.

The New York Jets hired Nathaniel Hackett as their new offensive coordinator. Robert Saleh also shared that the team ‘plans to bring in a veteran QB.’ Will Aaron Rodgers join his former coach in NYC (via trade)? Colin Cowherd breaks down why Rodgers would not fit with the Jets.

Skip Bayless believes that Carolina Panthers players should not play after interim head coach Steve Wilks wasn’t offered a full time position.
The controversial-and-annoying Bayless made the comments earlier today on his “Undisputed” show on FS1.

Skip Bayless called for the Carolina Panthers players to boycot playing because Steve Wilks wasn’t hired to be their coach.
