Caitlin Clark is about to get a massive offer for just 3 months of basketball.
The brand new Unrivaled women’s 3-on-3 basketball league is set to make a ‘Messi-like’ offer to Clark, according to Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports. The deal would reportedly pay the Indiana Fever superstar guard $1+ million as well as have other financial incentives and equity in the league.
Clark is reportedly expected to get a $1+ million salary offer to join the tournament that conveniently takes place during the WNBA’s offseason and runs from January for only EIGHT WEEKS.

Every college football season we get a few lucky (alright, sometimes not so lucky) fans who are caught on broadcast cameras and begin making the rounds as the Internet’s new favorite meme. However, I’m always curious to hear how they’re handling their newfound fame, and in the case of Texas Longhorns fan Grant Walther, we do know, and it turns out he’s handling it pretty damn well.
Walther was caught on camera as the Longhorns were dropping last weekend’s game against the Georgia Bulldogs and promptly memed into oblivion.

The former No. 1 pick has another shot at turning things around.
The Carolina Panthers are turning back to Bryce Young to start against the Broncos on Sunday after it was announced Wednesday that Andy Dalton suffered a sprained thumb in a minor car accident.
Dalton was driving with his family on Tuesday afternoon in Charlotte when they struck another car. Little is know about the nature of the crash itself, other than nobody was injured seriously enough to receive medical attention at a hospital.

For a few weeks at the start of the 2024 college football season, it looked like the USC Trojans could be College Football Playoff contenders. A win over the LSU Tigers, dominant shutout victory over Utah State, and then a fourth-quarter lead on the road against the defending champion Michigan Wolverines.
But USC found a way to lose that Michigan game, and after a bounce-back victory over the Wisconsin Badgers, have lost three consecutive games against Minnesota, Penn State and Maryland.

The NFL says players must not gamble but, let’s be honest, there are friendly wagers that do not involve money among teammates and friends that are allowed. And we might have just seen the best one from Colts teammates DeForest Buckner and Tyquan Lewis.
Buckner, you should know, attended Oregon.
Lewis attended Ohio State.
Oregon beat Ohio State a couple of weeks back.
See where this is going?
Buckner on Wednesday made Lewis, his Indianapolis Colts teammate, pay the price for his alma mater’s failure against Oregon a couple of weeks ago.

Tuesday was a big day in the NHL with all 32 teams in action, but there was also some big news with the Panthers offered their head coach Paul Maurice a contract extension.
This was a no-brainer, and the team announced the news just before puck-drop against the Minnesota Wild.
And how did the Panthers celebrate their coaches’ multi-year extension?
By completely laying an egg against the Minnesota Wild.
The Wild opened the scoring with a pair of first period goals, and it was all Minnesota from start to finish as they breezed to a 5-1 win over the defending Stanley Cup champions.
