Last week, Troy Aikman had strong words for the “lazy” Dallas Cowboys receivers who run “terrible routes.” But Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy didn’t appreciate those comments.
After the Cowboys’ 47-9 home loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 6, Aikman blasted the receiving corps during an interview on Dallas’ 96.7 The Ticket.
“I think they run terrible routes,” the three-time Super Bowl champion said. “And I’ve thought that beyond this year. I think CeeDee has got to improve in his route running.

Bill Belichick may no longer be the head coach of the New England Patriots, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to let comments he disagrees with about the team he coached for 23 years simply enter the ether unscathed.
Following New England’s 32-16 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, the team’s sixth straight loss, head coach Jerod Mayo called the Pats a “soft football team across the board.

Diontae Johnson has never been one to hide his frustrations. And when you play for the 1-6 Carolina Panthers, there are plenty of frustrations to be had.
The Panthers took a 40-7 thumping from the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Johnson had just one catch — on a season-low three targets — for 17 yards in the loss. Speaking to reporters after the game, the former Pro Bowl wide receiver called out his teammates for not pulling their weight.
“I mean, frustrated, but I can’t play every position on the field and make every play, you know what I’m saying?” Johnson said.

Myles Garrett was not happy with the way Cleveland Browns fans reacted to a Deshaun Watson injury on Sunday.
At the end of the first half in the Browns’ 21-14 home loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Watson went down with what was later revealed to be a season-ending ruptured Achilles. Normally, an injured player on the field results in a moment of silence from the crowd followed by bipartisan applause once the player gets up or is helped off the field.
But not this time.

For all intents and purposes, the New York Jets are the most disappointing team in the NFL.
Despite having a roster filled with All-Pros and emerging stars on both sides of the ball, they just can’t figure out how to play well consistently. The Jets have won only two games through seven weeks of action, and the teams they have beaten are the Tennessee Titans (who had Will Levis starting at QB that game) and the New England Patriots who, by every conceivable metric, are the worst team in the league.

Dodgers, Yankees matchup looks like a true Fall Classic
For the 12th time in history and the fifth time since one of the teams moved across the country, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees are set to clash in the World Series. Despite the fact that these are quite possibly the two most popular baseball teams in MLB, they’re also the two teams with the largest legion of people rooting against them as well.
