The start of a new NBA season is the ultimate time for optimism. Every team is undefeated, and each organization’s season-long goals are still within reach.

Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham has apologized for throwing his kicker under the bus after Saturday’s loss to Cincinnati.
The Sun Devils fell to the Bearcats, 24-14, in a game during which kicker Ian Hershey went 0-for-2 on field goals. The distances were 48 and 41 yards, respectively, and happened on the team’s final two drives. Speaking to the media after the game, Dillingham was wildly frustrated with his team’s kicking game.

Nyara Sabally was barely in the rotation just a few weeks ago. But in the deciding Game 5 of the WNBA Finals between the Lynx and the Liberty, she was the x-factor.
BROOKLYN — Sabrina Ionescu shot an abysmal 1-19 from the field, while Breanna Stewart posted 13 points on just 4-15 FG. On paper, those Liberty shooting splits seemed likely to spell disaster for the Liberty in a decisive WNBA Finals against the Lynx.
But, the Liberty still became 2024 WNBA champions, hoisting the trophy for the first time in franchise history after a 67-62 overtime win.

Well, the NASCAR playoff format continues to be either the dumbest, or most entertaining, out of all the major sports. Seriously, you either love this thing or you want to send it straight to the sun.

One of the better stories in college football, the Indiana Hoosiers, remain undefeated while Oregon is the No.1 team in the new AP Top-25 this week. 
There were a number of close calls on Saturday, as Miami survived a close game against Louisville, and Missouri escaped with a win against Auburn.
