Michael Kay defended his career after ESPN’s Pat McAfee took a shot at sports journalists this week, calling them “curmudgeon bums.”
McAfee’s comments in a post on X came in the wake of the viral press conference moment between Jacksonville Free Press’ Lynn Jones-Turnpin and Jaguars head coach Liam Coen. McAfee labeled the journalists who criticized the exchange as people who “hate sports.
Brooks Koepka’s seemingly immediate return to the PGA Tour after his LIV Golf exit at the end of 2025 has created a mixed bag of reactions. Some don’t see the significant financial penalties Koepka has agreed to as harsh enough punishments for a guy who left the Tour for a reported $100 million, who now gets to slide back into the swing of things on the entity he abandoned in 2022.
Others, well, they just accept the situation as the new reality and aren’t wasting time pointing fingers or holding some sort of grudge against Koepka for making a personal decision.
With a loss, an offseason begins.
And so do the questions.
On Monday night the Pittsburgh Steelers saw their 2025 NFL season come to an end at the hands of the Houston Texans and their ferocious defense. That unit racked up four sacks, an interception, and a touchdown on a fumble return after stripping Pittsburgh’s quarterback of the football.
And now the NFL world waits on the future of that quarterback.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Jim Hartung, a two-time Olympian who helped lead the 1984 U.S. team to its first and only gold medal in men’s gymnastics, has died. He was 65.
The University of Nebraska announced Hartung died Saturday night. He had been a Cornhuskers assistant coach for 19 years. No cause of death was given.
“Our condolences go out to Jim’s family, friends, and everyone he has impacted during his remarkable life in gymnastics from a national champion athlete at Nebraska to an Olympic gold medalist to a successful coach,” the athletic department said in a statement.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was trying to leave the field Monday night when one fan seemingly yelled out two words.
“Aaron, retire!” the fan said as Rodgers walked off the field after a brutal 30-6 loss to the Houston Texans.
Ooof. That’s not exactly great. However, it probably does bring up a question that many people are wondering. Is Rodgers actually retiring?
MORE NFL:Mike Tomlin rumors: Steelers, TV or another NFL coaching job?
Unfortunately, an answer to that question is likely not coming soon.

The 2026 NFL Playoffs started with a Wild Card Round that produced nothing but bangers. The first four games of the playoffs all essentially came down to the last possession, and the fantastic finishes set up some even better matchups in the Divisional Round this upcoming weekend.
The Buffalo Bills visit the top-seeded Denver Broncos after out-lasting the Jaguars (whoops, there goes my AFC champion pick). The Seattle Seahawks take on their divisional rival San Francisco 49ers coming off the bye, and now SF won’t have George Kittle, who drowned his injury sorrows with tequila.
