Texas fans lost their collective minds during the third quarter of its matchup against Georgia on Saturday night, which turned out to be all for nothing thanks to a very weird call from the officials.
The game had gone sideways for the Longhorns in the first half, which saw Steve Sarkisian turn to Arch Manning for a period of time when Quinn Ewers was not playing at his best.
It was the third quarter when everything turned upside down, and I still have no idea how we reached the point.

There was a lot of build–up to what we all expected to be a Clash of the Titans-style battle between the No. 1 Texas Longhorns and the No.5 Georgia Bulldogs, and at least through one half, it has been all Georgia.
So much so, that Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian made the stunning decision to pull starting QB Quinn Ewers in favor of impressive redshirt freshman Arch Manning.
The move came toward the end of the second quarter with the Longhorns unable to get anything going offensively, so, they decided to give Manning a shot.

I didn’t expect MC Hammer to make an appearance on this college football Saturday, but that’s part of the fun; you never know what might come up.
In this case, it was an unbelievable connection that the Arizona Wildcats have to the parachute pants-wearing “U Can’t Touch This” singer.
MC Hammer was scheduled to attend Saturday’s game between the Wildcats and the Colorado Buffaloes and beforehand it was getting reported as: “MC Hammer is going to support his ol’ buddy Deion Sanders.” No surprise there.

KNOXVILLE, TN – For the second time in three years, the goalposts, at least one set, headed out of Neyland Stadium and for a destination that is currently unknown. Once again, Josh Hepeul celebrated at midfield following the game, letting out a massive ‘Go Big Orange’ before jumping around with other Tennessee fans, and lighting his cigar in the wake of Tennessee’s 24-17 victory over Alabama.
Entering the fourth quarter on Saturday night in Knoxville, there was a sense of enthusiasm that had almost turned to nervousness from the more than 100,000 fans inside Neyland Stadium.

The San Francisco 49ers are gearing up for a big Super Bowl LVIII rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs, and it sounds like they’ll be getting some surprise reinforcements in rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, less than two months after he sustained a gunshot wound to the chest during an attempted robbery.
Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan told the media that Pearsall was going to be “activated. Full go,” and on Saturday that happened.

Alpine driver Pierre Gasly delivered what he called his best qualifying of the year Saturday in Austin
AUSTIN — Alpine showed up to the United States Grand Prix in Austin with a special theme livery, an “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” paint scheme with shades of orange to promote the upcoming video game release from Bethesda Softworks. But that orange color drew many comparisons to McLaren’s MCL38.
However, Pierre Gasly’s performance during qualifying Saturday here at Circuit of the Americas could draw similar comparisons.
