Prior to Game 2 of the World Series against the New York Yankees on Saturday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers brought Ice Cube onto the field to fire up the home crowd.
The Yankees, down two games to zero, decided that they had to counter the Dodgers’ energy for the first game in Yankee Stadium.
So, for some reason, they thought the appropriate way to fire up the New York crowd prior to Game 3 would be … Fat Joe?
I’m going to tell a quick, and very true, story.
My phone rings and I answer.

If you’re mad that the Dallas Cowboys are always playing during the NFL’s primetime games, remember that it’s your fault. You keep watching them!
The Cowboys fell to 3-4 with a loss on Sunday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers. In all four of the Dallas losses this season, they’ve trailed by at least three scores at some point during the game.
They’re not exactly a fun watch, although they did mount a bit of a comeback against the 49ers. In fact, the Cowboys have trailed during all seven games this year.

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has not yet debuted in the NBA season, as he is still nursing a meniscus tear he sustained last season. And yet, he’s found a way to get a technical foul.
Yes, that is an actual statistic. Joel Embiid games played: 0. Technical fouls accumulated: 1.
Sunday night, the 76ers faced the Indiana Pacers at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and the game went into overtime. With Indiana trailing 114-111 with just over 16 seconds left in the extra frame, Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard stepped up to the free-throw line to shoot two.

A family trying to attend the San Francisco 49ers-Dallas Cowboys game on Sunday is alleging Levi’s Stadium security wouldn’t allow one of them to enter due to wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.
In a video posted to TikTok, one of the women in the family explains that her son-in-law was told he cannot wear his red MAGA hat into the stadium, which led to an argument with security.
“We were about to enter, and they stopped us because my son-in-law is wearing this hat,” the woman says in the video. “They don’t want to let us in.

Former United States President Donald Trump, who is currently the favorite to win the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election, held a rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night.
The left wing is losing its mind over the rally, with many going right to their No. 1 argument about conservatives and Republicans: racism.
Not surprisingly, an NBA head coach decided to add his name to the list. Somewhat surprisingly, his name isn’t Steve Kerr or Gregg Popovich (although they’ve both endorsed Kamala Harris already).
No, this time it was Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers.

Is that “Sully” from Disney Pixar’s masterpiece, Monsters, Inc.? Nope, it’s Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman.
Wait, come again?
I can assure you, folks, that that is not a typo.
Earlier today, members of the Boston Bruins team visited both the Mass General for Children and Boston Children’s Hospital dressed as characters from the iconic 2001 film. If you ever wanted to know what Brad Marchand looked like as Mike Wazowski, or Matthew Poitras as Boo, or Swayman (and Charlie Coyle) as Sully, well, today is your lucky day.
