Trans athletes competing in women’s sports is a hot-button issue. Of course, most people can see the inherent flaws in the idea that biological men should be able to compete against women because of, well, the way biology works, but you still have folks digging in their heels.
However, trans-identifying athlete Nicole Powers is not one of them, and she spoke to OutKick’s Hayley Caronia about why she will never compete against women and why it didn’t exactly go over well with some of her coaches.

The brother of former No. 2 NFL Draft pick Zach Wilson will look to lead Utah back on track in Big 12 play.
The Utah Utes faced some major news this week, as head coach Kyle Whittington announced that starting quarterback Cam Rising will be out indefinitely, leading true freshman Isaac Wilson back into the No. 1 role.
“Isaac Wilson will be our starter until further notice — that way we don’t have to address that each time we talk,” Whittingham said earlier this week. “I can’t give you a timeline [on Cam Rising’s injury].

Mike Norvell better stay off the internet for the foreseeable future.
The Florida State Seminoles fell to 1-6 and 1-5 in ACC play after losing to Duke 23-16 Friday night. The team’s only win this season came against Cal, and it was a brutally ugly 14-9 victory.

Fans have had enough and are in an open state of revolt.

Don’t be surprised if you hear the names of these freshmen making big plays in Saturday’s big SEC battle.
The game of the week is almost here, as the No. 1 Texas Longhorns will host the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs in a battle of the top SEC powers through the first seven weeks of the season.
Texas, 6-0, has beaten every team they’ve faced by at least three scores, while dethroning a pair of ranked opponents already in Michigan and Oklahoma. The Longhorns defeated with the Sooners in a 34-3 blowout last weekend in the Red River Rivalry game.

Brace yourselves: Bubba Wallace is checking in with his first political endorsement of the cycle. I know – a little late in the season to be offering up opinions, but better late than never!
They call it an October surprise for a reason, you know.
Bubba, of course, wasn’t exactly shy about his preference back in 2020. Remember 2020? God, that was awful. Everything about that year was just awful. Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah.

Kawhi Leonard is running out of time to salvage his Clippers era, and despite his (still-sterling) resume, we may always be left wondering what could have been.
Has there ever been a career like Kawhi Leonard’s?
No player this century has embodied the highest highs and lowest lows of superstardom, or seen the peaks and valleys of their public approval rating undergo as much turbulence as he has. 2019 saw him hit an unforgettable game-winner and become the best player in the world by force of will.

AUSTIN — Zak Brown was the center of attention on Friday at the United States Grand Prix. During the FIA Press Conference Friday Brown sat alongside fellow team bosses Laurent Mekies from Visa Cash App RB F1 Team, and Oliver Oakes from Alpine, but almost every question went the McLaren CEO’s way.
