Another edition of ‘Mock Draft Monday’ rolls onto the pod feed as NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah joins Matt Harmon to share his five favorite fits from his latest mock draft and reveals the two prospects he’d ‘stand on the table’ for in this year’s draft. In Jeremiah’s latest mock he has the Cowboys landing Texas WR Matthew Golden. To end the show, Jeremiah ‘stands on the table’ for Texas DB Jahdae Barron and Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson.

Apr. 6—JAMESTOWN — The University of Jamestown softball team took advantage of Dakota State University errors in an 8-0 game in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday, April 6, at the Nelson Family Bubble.
The Jimmies scored four of their eight runs unearned thanks to two Trojans errors. Due to the weather, the Jimmies served as the away team for both rescheduled games, which were supposed to take place on Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5, at the Trojans’ Thue Field.

Sean Miller has struck again. Texas Longhorns basketball has landed its third transfer portal commitment of the window and it’s a big one. Literally. 7-foot center Matas Vokietaitis has announced he will transfer to UT from Florida Atlantic. At FAU, the Lithuanian native was named American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year.
Vokietaitis joins Xavier forward Dailyn Swain and Purdue forward Camden Heide as Miller’s three transfer portal commitments.

With Sunday’s win at Golden State, the Rockets secured a top-three placement in the 2025 Western Conference playoff field and are on the verge of landing the No. 2 seed.
The top-four teams in the West (standings) will all have home-court advantage in their first-round series, which means that Houston will open up its playoff run at home on either Saturday, April 19, or Sunday, April 20. The Rockets are 29-11 at Toyota Center this season.
Teams with home-court advantage would play the first, second, fifth, and seventh games of a best-of-seven series at home.

Here’s how some of the Mets‘ top prospects fared on the mound Sunday afternoon…

Former top prospect back on mound
Matt Allan’s pro career hasn’t quite gone as planned thus far.
The young right-hander was once viewed as the Mets’ top pitching prospect — but he’s been plagued by numerous different arm issues over the past couple of seasons and hasn’t taken the mound since 2019.
But after working his way back this offseason, Allan is finally healthy and ready to roll.

DENVER (AP) — Obi Toppin scored 22 points in his second start of the season and the Indiana Pacers overcame the absence of Pascal Siakam to hand the reeling Denver Nuggets their fourth consecutive loss Sunday, 125-120.
Myles Turner’s 24 points led the Pacers, who overcame a 13-point first-half deficit and an off-night by Tyrese Haliburton, whose nine points on eight shots were less than half his scoring average.
The Nuggets lost their fourth straight despite Nikola Jokic’s 41 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists and a career-high 30 points from Christian Braun.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Nick Castellanos hit a grand slam, and the Philadelphia Phillies rallied with two runs in the seventh inning to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-7 on Sunday.
The Phillies took two of three from the World Series champion Dodgers, a series that might not mean much by October but put a little juice into an early April weekend.
Teoscar Hernández homered twice and had five RBIs for the Dodgers, whose only two losses this season came in this three-game series.
Castellanos hit his eighth career grand slam on reliever Alex Vesia’s first pitch in the third inning.

NEW YORK — You can’t always take Josh Hart seriously. His jokes fly fast, often hiding more truth than fiction. But every now and then, Hart hits the nail on the head. When the Knicks swingman spoke about how Jalen Brunson’s return might change the way New York plays, his words felt prophetic.
“Kal and OG being in a good rhythm offensively — that’s a good thing,” Hart predicted after the Knicks practiced at Georgia Tech’s Zelnak Center on Friday.

PITTSBURGH – After another scoreless outing, Brent Headrick received a demotion.
The Yankees optioned the left-handed reliever on Sunday night. The move came just a few hours after Headrick struck out four batters over two scoreless innings and 36 pitches in the Yankees’ 11-inning loss to the Pirates. The move also came as Adam Ottavino was making his way to Detroit to meet up with the Yankees for their series opener against the Tigers on Monday, a source confirmed to the Daily News.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Cole Caufield and Patrik Laine scored in the second period to rally the Montreal Canadiens to a 2-1 victory over the Nashville Predators on Sunday night.
Jakub Dobes turned back 36 shots for the Canadiens, who extended their winning streak to five games after a five-game skid.
Steven Stamkos scored and Juuse Saros made 15 saves for Nashville, which was scoreless on four power plays and lost its sixth straight and for the seventh time in eight games.
Stamkos opened the scoring at 4:19 into the first off a feed from Filip Forsberg for his 25th of the season.
