One day after carrying an extra club in his bag, Joel Dahmen has pulled out of the Shriners Children’s Open.
Joel Dahmen is calling it quits ahead of Friday’s second round of the Shriners Children’s Open.
He decided to withdraw a little before 10 a.m. PT—roughly one hour before play began. A lengthy wind delay halted play until then.
The day before, the PGA Tour assessed Dahmen with a four-stroke penalty.
Formula 1 is in Austin, Texas, this weekend for the United States Grand Prix, and in the lead-up to the race Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff did some press to promote the race, and learned about one of the Lone Star State’s greatest exports.
Large hats?
Uh… no.
Brisket?
Getting warmer…
Buc-ee’s?
Bingo.
Wolff spoke to Today, and they did some solid journalistic work by asking Wolff if he was familiar with everyone’s favorite beaver-mascotted, brisket-slingin’ gas station chain.

The Spanish call of Jhonkensy Noel’s game-tying home run proves Spanish announcers have more fun
The Cleveland Guardians’ comeback victory in Game 3 of the ALCS was full of incredible moments. From Yankees’ sluggers Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton going back-to-back with home runs, Guardians’ first baseman Josh Naylor basically doing the splits to record an out, culminating in David Fry’s walk-off homer to win it for the Guardians, Game 3 had many incredible moments.

Strong gale force winds, with gusts reaching 50 miles per hour, wreaked havoc on the Las Vegas Valley early Friday. Therefore, the National Weather Service of Southern Nevada has instituted a wind advisory for all of Las Vegas until 11 p.m. local time on Friday evening.
Some children were left behind.

Bless his heart.
Okay, so let’s ignore the obvious of the PATRIOTS representing soldiers who fought a war against England and succeeded in winning our independence.
You can’t complain, Toronto. You know Seattle deserved it more. Y’know, all that suffering.
The 2022 Wildcard series pitted the long-suffering Toronto Blue Jays against the longer-suffering Seattle Mariners. This was essentially a contest to see who rebuilt better.
The Blue Jays had started a rebuild six years prior, relying on a third-best-in-baseball farm system boasting the likes of Vlad Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, and Teoscar Hernandez. It takes time for talent to develop and Toronto had no interest in rushing their young talent.

There hasn’t been any real drama in the ALCS before Jhonkensy Noel and David Fry turned things on their heads in Game 3.
We’ve all been there before, whether it is baseball or any other sport when the lights are at their brightest, usually there’s a real and tangible sign that for one team, the end of the road is here and you may as well just go ahead and get it over with while the team with real deal aspirations can continue on to their path to a title.

Early returns on Caleb Williams could bring back the magic of No. 1 picks
If you listened to draft experts over the past few years, then you may have assumed that this moment was inevitable: Caleb Williams is playing at a high level early in his career and has led his team to three straight wins. And not just any team, but the Chicago Bears, a franchise that has never had a 4,000-yard passer, a 30-touchdown season, or a real franchise quarterback.
