The Sparks, Wings, Sky, and Liberty all have new practice facilities in the works — but a few WNBA teams have no plans at the moment.
The Los Angeles Sparks are the latest WNBA team to begin plans to construct their own practice facility. For the last two seasons, the Sparks practiced at El Camino College, a community college in Torrance, California.
“We are building more than a practice facility; we are investing in the future of women’s basketball in Los Angeles,” said Sparks governor Eric Holoman in a statement.

Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz had fun talking some serious trash to Mississippi State players during the closing seconds of the Tigers’ win in Starkville on Saturday night.
As Missouri led the Bulldogs 39-20 with just over a minute left in regulation, the Tigers were on the doorstep of potentially scoring again to make the score that much more lopsided. As the final seconds came off the clock, the camera panned to Drinkwitz who shouted a savage message at the Mississippi State players.

The Bears host the Vikings in Week 12. We break down what the game means for the NFL playoff picture.
The NFC North has a key matchup in the spotlight to open Week 12’s Sunday slate when the Chicago Bears host the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field. The game kicks off at 1 p.m. ET and is the most significant game in the early slate.
The Vikings are a field goal favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook. Chicago will be without safety Elijah Hicks, while Minnesota does not have any significant new absences on the injury report.

Shannon Sharpe has nothing nice to say about the Dallas Cowboys. And that’s putting it mildly.
Dallas lost to the Houston Texans, 34-10, on Monday Night Football last week — their fifth straight loss. Now 3-7, the Cowboys are all but eliminated from postseason contention.
But some of the team’s star players don’t seem too broken up about it. Following their latest loss, receiver CeeDee Lamb and cornerback Trevon Diggs were spotted partying in a club, apparently filming a music video.

Social media is cooking Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer following a pathetic loss to Oklahoma.
The Crimson Tide got boat raced by a bad Sooners squad 24-3, and the team’s playoff hopes are now on life support.
QB Jalen Milroe finished with 164 passing yards and three interceptions in what has to be one of the worst Alabama quarterback performances in years. The team also put up an embarrassing 70 rushing yards while giving up 260 rushing yards on the other side of the ball to Oklahoma.
The Crimson Tide are now 8-3, and the Nick Saban era is a distant memory.

The recognition of Native American symbols and nicknames has steadily declined from Americana as the culture has bowed to political correctness – the Cleveland Indians are no more and Chief Wahoo was benched, the University of Illinois dropped the Chief Illiniwek logo and St. John’s University and Miami University (Ohio) changed their nicknames decades ago. But the battle over the Washington Redskins logo, seemingly decided years ago, continues.
Last week, the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources voted 17-2 to advance legislation H.R.

Nick Saban is still salty over Alabama not being included in the 2022 College Football Playoff. But TCU head coach Sonny Dykes certainly doesn’t feel sorry for him.
Two years ago, the four-team CFP consisted of Georgia, Michigan, TCU and Ohio State. Georgia ultimately won the whole thing, clobbering TCU 65-7 in the Championship Game.
Last week, Saban criticized the subjectivity of the postseason format, suggesting that the Crimson Tide would have been a 13-point favorite against the Horned Frogs back then.
But Dykes’ TCU squad made it, and Saban’s Alabama team did not.
