Brooks Koepka is officially leaving LIV Golf.
We have amicably and mutually agreed that Brooks Koepka will no longer compete in the LIV Golf League, following the 2025 season. Brooks is prioritizing the needs of his family and staying closer to home. We appreciate the significant impact he has had on the game and wish him continued success, both on and off the course. LIV Golf’s mission is to expand the game’s footprint to new markets, increase competitive opportunities for current and future players and fuel a thriving and growing fan base worldwide.
The Atlanta Falcons have signed linebacker Eugene Asante to their 16-man practice squad, the team announced on Tuesday. Asante went undrafted out of Auburn in 2025 but was a projected Day 3 pick by some draft scouts. The Miami Dolphins signed Asante following the draft but he injured his ankle in the preseason finale.
The Dolphins later waived Asante via injury settlement, but the rookie linebacker appears to be healthy again. Asante was projected as a fifth-round pick in NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein 2025 scouting profile.
The college football world was left stunned this week when news broke that the long-standing intersectional rivalry between the USC Trojans and Notre Dame Fighting Irish, which began in 1926, would not be played for at least the next few seasons. Stunned because the game had been played every year, outside the COVID-lockdown shortened 2020 season and World War II, and because both fanbases wanted the rivalry to continue.
Yet the two sides could not come to an agreement on extending the series for the 2026 season, ensuring that the game won’t be played until 2030 at the earliest.
The Denver Broncos placed safety Delarrin Turner-Yell (knee) on their practice squad/injured list on Tuesday, according to the NFL’s transaction wire.
It’s a heartbreaking development for Turner-Yell, who was just elevated from the practice squad on Saturday. The 26-year-old defensive back played on Sunday for the first time since he tore his ACL in Week 17 of the 2023 season. Two years after that injury, DTY suffered another knee injury in a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
A former fifth-round pick out of Oklahoma, Turner-Yell spent all of the 2024 season on injured reserve.
JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — Karim Benzema’s second-half strike was enough to give Al-Ittihad a 1-0 win over Nasaf Qarshi of Uzbekistan on Tuesday, placing the Saudi title holders within sight of the Asian Champions League Elite knockout round.
The French striker volleyed home from close range at the far post after 57 minutes, meeting a cross from Portuguese winger Roger Fernandes.
The victory moved Al-Ittihad to sixth place in the 12-team Western group.

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has revealed what he constantly tells goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi, who has seen limited game time thus far this season.
The 27-year-old shot-stopper was roped in from TS Galaxy in July 2023 under the tutelage of then-head coach Jose Riveiro.
However, Buthelezi has seen little game time this campaign, with the Bucs mentor reluctant to rotate his goalies, despite often doing so in other positions.
It was a tale of two halves for the Boston Celtics in their 103-95 victory over the Indiana Pacers at TD Garden this past Monday (Dec. 22) night. The Pacers punched the Celtics squarely in the mouth in the game’s first half, shooting 60% from beyond the arc despite being the team that turns to that sort of offense less than any other ball club in the NBA.
Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has been unguardable lately, scoring at least 30 points in seven straight games and 11 of his last 12 games. Nobody’s been able to stop him.
Accordingly, opponents are apparently resorting to other tactics in an effort to get under his skin and disrupt his play.
During his Twitch stream after the Celtics’ 103-95 win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday, Brown revealed that other players have been purposefully antagonizing him lately.
The time spent recovering forced Saddiq Bey to re-engage with the game from the outside, studying impact beyond scoring and usage. “Watching the game, man, and just learning a lot of the intricate details in the game of where I could impact when I come back,” Bey said. “And then off the court, man, just real spiritually, like having to really humble myself in life in general and knowing that the game can be taken away from you so quick, man. So, I learned a lot through that process.
