A key position battle unfolding this summer for the Indianapolis Colts will be at defensive end.
The starting role opposite of Laiatu Latu is up for grabs, and likely competing for those snaps will be Jaylahn Tuimoloau and Arden Key.

Sporting Club Jacksonville announced its signing midfielder Raheem Somersall to its men’s roster, pending league and federation approval.
Somersall has spent eight seasons in the USL Championship and USL League One, four of which were with North Carolina FC, where he logged 7,000 minutes, three goals and seven assists. He most recently played for FC Tulsa, where he made 11 appearances.
“I’m excited for this opportunity with Sporting JAX,” said Somersall. “I look forward to jumping in and being a contributor for the club.

MT. JULIET – Maplewood was denied its appeal to become eligible for the 2026 TSSAA football playoffs, the association’s Board of Control determined in its June 9 meeting.
The TSSAA on April 21 placed Maplewood’s football program on restrictive probation, which triggered the playoff ban, after determining Panthers head coach Chris Simpson violated the TSSAA’s recruiting rule.
Maplewood principal Sonya Brooks spoke before the board, acknowledging violations but asking for “leniency” in terms of the probation.

Summer is here, sort of, and it is everyone’s favorite time of the year, scouting time. Every year, we do Summer Scouting to preview college football for Vikings fans, but also give them an idea of names to follow and watch in the fall as needs pop up for Minnesota. 
Are we going to write about quarterbacks? Offensive tackles? Edge rushers? You know it, but why? Because other NFL teams will draft them, just as they will draft every other position. It all matters whether these players end up on the Vikings, the Bears, or the Steelers.

The New York Knicks lost Game 3 of the NBA Finals, but Skip Bayless is not backing away from his prediction. After Monday night’s 115-111 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs, Bayless said he still expects New York to win the series.
The outlook around the Finals changed after the loss.

You may recall Joel Kuhnel from his days with the Cincinnati Reds. Big guy, he is – listed at 6’5” and 290 lbs. He was an 11th round pick out of the University of Texas-Arlington, threw a heavy heater, and made it into 14 games with the Reds in 2019-2020 before injuries shut him down for most of 2021.

TCU men’s basketball made another late addition to its 2026 recruiting class, signing Latvian guard Ricards Aizpurs to the roster. The 6-foot-6 guard played in Italy last season and has been a part of the Stella Azzurra program, a development academy known for producing elite-level talent. In the 2024-25 season, Aizpurs averaged 33.6 points per game in Italian U17 competition, 18 points per game playing up at the U18 level as a 16-year old and established himself as one of the most prolific scorers in his class at the U19 level this past season.

There is at least one current Buffalo Bills player that would like a former teammate back in the fold.
