In the days ahead of Formula 1’s marquee event, Charles Leclerc and Ferrari broke some news.
That would be a new contract, expected to keep Leclerc with the team well beyond the 2028 F1 season.

Another defender has found his way to the Steel City, as the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed a veteran linebacker to a one-year deal.
On Thursday, the Steelers announced the signing of former Washington Commanders linebacker Jamin Davis, along with ex-Green Bay Packers tight end Robert Tonyan.

Davis, who was selected by the Commanders with the 19th overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, was a multi-year starter to begin his career.

On Thursday, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport went on the Pat McAfee show and gave a somewhat shocking update on the Pittsburgh Steelers and their wild linebacker situation. According to Rapoport, T.J. Watt is not going to be traded despite the team just signing backup edge Nick Herbig to a four-year, $100 million contract this week.
And while he sounded less confident, he gave the impression that Alex Highsmith, the third of the high-paid trio wouldn’t be on the move either.

The historic season for the Zeeland West girls tennis team continued at the Division 2 state tournament.
The Dux had won their first-ever regional championship and qualified for state as a team for the first time.
But led by the singles lineup – as they have been all year – the Dux weren’t done.
Sophomore Aneliece Yin put together a sensational tournament at No. 4 singles, reaching the state semifinals.
Yin had a bye, then beat Berkley’s Emma Sumnicht 6-1, 6-0 and East Lansing’s Sima Bezuglova 7-6(5), 6-1 in the quarterfinals.

Desiree Hinsch allowed one run in seven innings, struck out 15 and had three hits at the dish to lead No. 5 Sioux Falls Roosevelt to a 5-1 win over No. 4 Brandon Valley in the Class AA state quarterfinals. It’s the Rough Riders’ first state tournament win since softball became a sanctioned sport.
Roosevelt will face No. 1 Sioux Falls Jefferson at 2 p.m. Friday, June 5 in the state semifinals.
Hinsch punched out plenty of Lynx with her riseball, letting out a yell each time she put a batter away.

Indian wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat has announced his retirement from international cricket, bringing the curtain down on a career that saw him play seven Test matches for the country. The 32-year-old shared an emotional message on social media, reflecting on the sacrifices, support and determination that helped him achieve his dream of representing India.
Although Bharat earned a reputation as a safe pair of hands behind the stumps and was part of India’s squad for the 2023 World Test Championship final, he struggled to secure a long-term place in the Test side.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed offensive lineman Trystan Colon and cornerback Dane Jackson, the team announced Thursday afternoon.
In corresponding moves, the team placed CB Keith Taylor on injured reserve, while they waived OL Sam Wormley.
Colon, 28, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri by the Baltimore Ravens in 2020. He has appeared in 63 games (19 starts), playing for three teams, including the Ravens (2020-22), Cardinals (2023-24) and Lions (2025).

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) — Cherie DeVaux knows Saratoga well. She was born in the upstate New York town, and after growing up in Florida, she returned to study at the University of Albany, just a 30-minute drive away.
After two years, DeVaux stopped pursuing a degree and took a chance on her passion for horse racing, where she started as a hot walker for late trainer Chuck Simon. She set her sights on one day being an exercise rider.
On Saturday, DeVaux won’t be crossing Union Avenue as a hot walker, or riding and working them out on the Oklahoma Training Track.

The unthinkable to many Browns fans has happened.
June 1  was the first day that Cleveland was able to trade Myles Garrett, the Browns’ “face of the franchise.” The Browns did just that, dealing Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and a 2029 third-round pick. With this move, no player aside from Denzel Ward (and technicallyGrant Delpit) from the 2020 Browns playoff run remains. The Browns now look to move into a new era.
This move is and will continue to be divisive for fans for years to come.

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams will be making his first appearance on the cover of a Madden game with the 2027 and the game will also include the first appearance of a play made famous by another team.
EA Sports will unveil both Madden 27 and the latest version of their college football game on Thursday night, and a social media post promoting the event featured several screenshots from the NFL game. They include Fernando Mendoza in his Raiders uniform and a look at Myles Garrett in his new Rams duds along with a play from a game between the Eagles and Giants.
