I don’t think many people expected Deion Sanders to have his team eligible for a bowl with four games remaining, or be in the hunt for a Big 12 championship following the loss to Nebraska last month.
But six games later, the Buffaloes clinched a bowl berth, and are fighting for a spot in the conference championship game following the 34-23 win over Cincinnati on Saturday night.
While the rest of the country was doubting Colorado, this team is now 5-1 over its last six games and are clearly turning the page as a program.

I always try to keep my finger on the pulse of innovations in concession technology, and even I wasn’t prepared for what the Vegas Golden Knights have unveiled for this season.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a chicken tender served in a Zamboni.
I’ll give you a moment to pick yourself up off the floor.

Starting the season 0-2 doesn’t mean things are hopeless for the Nuggets, but it does confirm some discouraging signs about their viability as an NBA championship contender.
Are the Denver Nuggets bad? No, but that’s not going to cut it.
The Western Conference is stacked to the nines with not-bad teams. The Spurs and the Trail Blazers are the only comfortably bad teams, and the Thunder are the only ones who are unequivocally good — even the Timberwolves have some stuff to figure out.

Will Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels play in Week 8?
The Washington Commanders have been one of the biggest surprises of the 2024 NFL season. Led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, the Commanders lead the NFC East with a 5-2 record. Washington will hope to have their starting quarterback available in Week 8 against the Chicago Bears. It would mark the first career head-to-head meeting between the number one overall pick, Caleb Williams, and number two overall pick, Daniels.

What can we expect from Tua in his Week 8 return for the Dolphins against the Cardinals?
The Miami Dolphins will have quarterback Tua Tagovaila back in the starting lineup for the first time since Week 2. Tua left the game after suffering a concussion against the Buffalo Bills and has been on injured reserve over the past four games. After seeking specialists and talking with doctors, Tua is expected to make his return against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Lakers defeated the Kings in a game of big momentum changes, including L.A.’s 21-0 run to start the fourth quarter, for their best start since 2010.
The playoff race tightened considerably with some wild Saturday night results.
The Aggies are the only team in the SEC without a conference loss.
Game 2 of the World Series was pretty much all Los Angeles Dodgers from the start, but on a dime, the vibe in Dodger Stadium went from a party to deafening silence as the team’s superstar Shohei Ohtani walked off the field clutching his arm.
It happened in the bottom of the seventh inning with the Dodgers up 4-1 after Ohtani was walked to get on base. The next batter was Mookie Betts who struck out. With two outs, next at the plates was Teoscar Hernandez and on the first pitch that he faced, Ohtani — who stole 59 bases in the regular season — took off for second.
