Michigan has gotten the best of Ohio State in ‘The Game’ three straight seasons, which has made Buckeyes’ head coach Ryan Day ‘the coach who can’t beat the Wolverines’ for more than 1,000 days. Heading into the 120th edition of the game this weekend, Day tried to put into words what it feels like to be on the losing end of the iconic matchup, and good grief did he deliver the drama.
Day compared losing to Michigan to losing his father, which he did so when he was only nine years old.
“We’ve felt what it’s like to not win this game, and it’s bad.

Let’s throw these teams into tiers.
We’ve hit the portion of the NFL season where teams are looking ahead. Some towards the playoffs and beyond, others at the NFL Draft and free agency. Quarterback play took a backseat for the first season in recent memory. Total offenses are king, and one dimensional passing attacks simply don’t cut it anymore to win with consistency on Sunday,
Still, quarterbacks are still king in the league — even with line play and running backs now coming at a premium.

SB Nation is here to help you make the most of the long holiday football weekend with some upset selections
Thanksgiving is about many things.
It is about spending time with family. It is about preparing recipes that have been passed down for generations. It is about avoiding that awkward conversation with your uncle who truly believes that this year his business is going to take off, and you need to just get in on the ground floor.
And of course, it is about football.

Jerry Jones does his weekly radio show on 105.4 The Fan in Dallas somewhat early in the morning, so it’s strange that he would say things about Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy that sound as if the club’s owner has been drinking excessively.
But here we are.
On Tuesday’s show, Jones raised the possibility of giving McCarthy a contract extension.
No, really.
“I don’t think that’s crazy at all,” Jones said. This is a Super Bowl-winning coach. Mike McCarthy has been there and done that. He has great ideas. We got a lot of football left.

The run has come to an end for Mack Brown at North Carolina, as the school has fired the legendary head coach.
After meetings on Monday within the athletic department and campus officials, the decision was made that it was best for the Tarheels if they moved in a different direction for the sake of the program. Returning to North Carolina in 2019, he has a record of 44-32 overall, finishing off his sixth season as head coach of the TarHeels.

The Philadelphia Eagles have the perfect opportunity to deliver the final knock out blow to the New York Giants that could psychologically set them back a decade.
After Eagles running back and former Giant Saquon Barkley put up an unbelievable 255 yards and two touchdowns this past weekend, Eagles fans began tweeting out a clip from HBO’s Hard Knocks that aired this past offseason in which it shows the true incompetence and arrogance of Giants General Manager Joe Schoen.

There is an alternate reality in which Donald Trump never stepped foot in the political arena and instead became the owner of the Buffalo Bills, at least according to Stephen A. Smith.
Smith recently sat down with Bill Maher on his ‘Club Random’ podcast where the two shared a few drinks and more than a few stories, and one about the President-Elect certainly stood out.
The ESPN personality recalled Trump calling him in 2014 to discuss, and complain, about NFL owners allegedly creating problems for his bid to purchase the Buffalo Bills.

The Wizards may not be very good this season, but Bilal Coulibaly is giving fans a reason to watch (and, maybe, believe in the future of this rebuild).
A lot of people haven’t watched the Washington Wizards this season, and, given the team’s 2-13 record, it’s hard to blame them. But that also means that a lot of basketball fans have missed out on the pure joy of watching their young forward, Bilal Coulibaly.
