MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Three-time Pro Bowler Jamal Adams says he’s joining the Minnesota Vikings on the eve of training camp.
Adams announced the move on social media Monday night, posting “Year 10” and the Vikings’ “skol” hashtag.
Adams has played multiple positions during his nine-year NFL career, including 17 games at linebacker with the Las Vegas Raiders last season.
Adams was the seventh overall pick of the 2017 NFL draft by the Jets and twice was a Pro Bowler in New York.

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James are good friends and played alongside each other for four NBA seasons with the Miami Heat. Their partnership helped established the retired guard as one of the best players in franchise history. While many may think that the superstar forward is his favorite teammate, he instead revealed that it’s Udonis Haslem
The three-time champion was Candace Parker’s guest on her “Post Moves with Candace Parker & Aliyah Boston” podcast on Monday. He explained that Haslem always had his back on the court.

A few big lessons learned for a young squad tonight:

You can’t win a game in the first inning
Sloppy baseball = frustrating loss
Don’t aggressively wave a guy home who missed Sunday’s game due to a leg injury when it’s not necessary
Using half your bullpen in the opener of a four-game series isn’t a great idea

Let’s get into an ugly, 9-5 White Sox loss against the Yankees.

It wasn’t a pretty opening to the series, but the Yankees found their way Monday night in Chicago.

After an already chaotic NBA offseason, the league just keeps on giving. The biggest star in the sport just changed teams. Since LeBron James went to Philadelphia, the biggest loser in this whole saga is the Golden State Warriors. 
The Warriors are the only team in the league that failed to make any acquisitions this offseason. It’s a depressing development because legendary guard Stephen Curry is still one of the three biggest stars in the sport and won’t be competing for anything this year.

On Monday, the Indianapolis Colts announced that both starting wide receiver Alec Pierce (ankle) and projected starting rookie linebacker CJ Allen (calf) would begin training camp on PUP.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — San Francisco Giants third baseman Casey Schmitt left Monday night’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers in the bottom of the second inning due to an apparent leg injury.
Schmitt appeared to hurt his left leg after rounding first base following a single to right field. He showed discomfort and was grasping at his lower left leg after the play.
Schmitt was able to walk off the field on his own power, limping with a trainer at his side as he left the game. Schmitt was replaced by backup Christian Koss.

We are deep into the offseason for the Ohio State basketball team, but the incoming freshmen have joined the fray and are going through workouts with all of the other pieces that have returned or were a part of the transfer portal haul. One of those freshmen is guard Alex Smith, a local product just a few miles from campus in Upper Arlington.

A squirrel caused quite a bit of chaos on Monday at Comerica Park. 
A black squirrel managed to break onto the field during the Detroit Tigers’ 8-5 loss to the Baltimore Orioles, and it led the grounds crew on a chase in the outfield. Orioles outfielder Leody Taveras even had to get in on the action, though he couldn’t quite catch the elusive animal with his glove.
Perhaps the best part of the loose squirrel was Jason Benetti’s call of the scene from the booth.
“No, I won’t be hemmed in! I have freedom on my mind!” Benetti yelled.
