Photo: José Mourinho left in awe at Real Madrid star’s moment of brilliance
Benfica head coach José Mourinho could not help but allow his appreciation for the brilliance of Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois on Wednesday.
This comes after the Belgian produced nothing short of a world-class save.
Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action on the continent, in a Champions League meeting with Portuguese heavyweights Benfica.
As things stand in an all-action affair in Lisbon, the two sides are deadlocked at a goal apiece.

Debate over whether or not Eli Manning is a Hall of Famer will be postponed another year, with The Athletic reporting that Eli did not make the cut to be entered into the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Manning being enshrined in Canton has been a hotly debated topic since he was put on the ballot for the first time in 2024.

🚨Bombshell: Fabrizio Romano reveals River’s new signing
In a move that has shaken up the international transfer market, River Plate has reached a full agreement with Chelsea for the signing of Kendry Páez. The Ecuadorian gem, considered one of the most promising young talents on the planet, will join Marcelo Gallardo’s team after a strategic interruption of his loan at French side Strasbourg.

BRONSON — The Sturgis bowling teams are continuing to improve.
For head coach Scott Spahr and the Trojans, that remains a positive. The girls team is ranked No. 4 in the first Michigan High School Interscholastic Bowling Coaches Association poll for Division 2, the boys are ranked eighth.
Most recently, the Trojan teams logged a couple of wins over Otsego. The girls claimed a 28-2 victory, the boys won 21-9.

There is nothing wrong with what the Cleveland Browns did on Wednesday by hiring Todd Monken as their new head coach. No, really, it’s fine.
Monken, who turns 60 next week, established himself as a good offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens the past three years. He helped Lamar Jackson earn MVP honors in 2023 and the Ravens offense was third in the NFL in points in 2024.
But…
Well, this hire doesn’t exactly titillate.

As we continue in this weird WNBA offseason that has seen schedules being dropped despite no end in sight to CBA negotiations, we have another team update. The Portland Fire, who will be joining the Toronto Tempo as the league’s new teams next season, released their jerseys.
When Tempo released their jerseys last month, it was only their Explorer and Heroine editions, and the Fire have done the same here. When Golden State, the first expansion team in this wave, released their jerseys before the 2025 WNBA season, they also only had two editions.

From the moment the New England Patriots booked their spot in Super Bowl LX, one text message has appeared on my phone more than any other.
“Can they win?”
The question has come from family members, old classmates, former teammates, and all corners of my contacts with ties to the New England area.
It is a question that I have struggled to answer.
The task seems arduous. New England’s play of late, particularly on the offensive side of the football, has not been inspiring.
