The Baltimore Ravens acquired Diontae Johnson in a trade this week. We break down what the fantasy football implications are for Week 9.
The Baltimore Ravens added a significant playmaker to their offense this past week when they traded for Carolina Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson. The Ravens offense has impressed this season, leading the league in points scored, but Johnson adds considerable depth to a unit that already includes Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.

Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid has yet to play a single minute this NBA season but has managed to make headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Following Philadelphia’s loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, the team’s fourth loss in five games, Embiid shoved a columnist in the locker room, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania, who also reported that the NBA is aware of the incident and is commencing an investigation.

The Dallas Cowboys are benching running back Ezekiel Elliott for at least one week, per ESPN’s Todd Archer. Elliott is being disciplined in Week 9 and did not travel with the team for their contest against the Atlanta Falcons.
This should not have a significant fantasy football impact as running back Rico Dowdle returns to the Cowboys starting lineup. Dowdle was a late game-day scratch last week due to an illness.

Will Tony Pollard play in Week 9 with good matchup on deck vs. the Patriots?
The Tennessee Titans have not had a lot go well for them so far in the 2024 season. They are 1-6 through seven games and just lost 52-14 to the Detroit Lions after a poor performance by their special teams.
While the Titans will have a lot to figure out this offseason, running back Tony Pollard has been one of the few bright spots in the offense. Pollard has 494 yards rushing this season with three touchdowns.
