The new Lions running back opened up about two losing seasons in Chicago
Running back David Montgomery is enjoying his first set of OTAs with his new team, the Detroit Lions.
But the former Bear opened up about his time in Chicago, and was brutally honest with his assessment.
Speaking on the premier episode of Lions Gaming, Montgomery shared his thoughts while streaming a NBA2K game between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics with his new teammate C.J. Gardner-Johnson.

For the first time in the Eastern Conference finals, the Celtics played like the Celtics.
Boston avoided elimination Tuesday with the kind of performance the team produced consistently during the regular season, routing Miami 116–99 to send the series back to New England. Trailing 3–0, the desperate Celtics shot a blistering 40% from three in Game 4, carving up Miami’s defense. Jayson Tatum responded to his lackluster Game 3 outing with 33 points to lead the way. Five Celtics hit at least three threes, while the team also stifled Miami defensively.
A month has now passed since the Jets acquired quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Packers for draft compensation. It’s been an eventful one for the four-time MVP: he’s been a frequent presence at New York sporting events, but also suffered a minor calf strain Tuesday at OTAs.
Despite the setback, Rodgers maintained a sunny outlook on his new environment in a Tuesday afternoon press conference.
“Every day I wake up excited about coming to the facility,” Rodgers said. “Now the commute being two minutes really helps.
Matt Araiza has landed his first workout with an NFL team since being cut by the Buffalo Bills ahead of last season over gang rape allegations. The New York Jets are giving the free-agent punter a look, according to Adam Schefter.

Good morning, I’m Dan Gartland. I still don’t think the Celtics can pull off the comeback, but I wouldn’t be entirely shocked if it happened.

Boston avoids a sweep
The Celtics will get to play at least one more game at home.
Jimmy Butler dismissed the Celtics have momentum after their season-saving win in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The matchup for the 2023 NBA Finals isn’t set — not yet. After the Denver Nuggets completed a sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals, the expectation was that the Miami Heat would do the same as the faced the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals with a 3-0 series lead.
Instead, the Celtics beat the Heat, 116-99, in Game 4 to roar back into the series and stave off elimination.
The Celtics are trying to become the first team in NBA history to come back from a 3–0 deficit in a playoff series. The team took the first step Tuesday night with a 116–99 Game 4 win over the Heat in Miami.
Boston sports fans know all about coming back from 3–0 deficits, as the Red Sox did against the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS, and then going on to win their first World Series since 1918.
During Tuesday night’s game, TNT cameras found two famous members from that Yankees team—Derek Jeter and Alex Rodiguez—sitting courtside.

Tatum’s third quarter helped lift the C’s past Butler and the Heat
I feel like I could’ve named 80 things more likely to happen in Game 4 of the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals than a double-digit Celtics win, so in that respect, good on Boston for what they accomplished, asserting their identity in the third quarter and taking control of the game, avoiding elimination by a landslide.
Jimmy Butler and the Heat had hoped to win Game 4 in the Eastern Conference finals at home Tuesday and punch their tickets to the NBA Finals. But the Celtics had different plans, rallying back in the second half to save their season with a 116–99 win and force a Game 5 on Thursday in Boston.
Butler met with the media following the game (something he didn’t do after Game 4 and was punished by the league for it), and he had a surprising take on where the momentum now sits in this series.
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg wrestled in hundreds of matches when he was in the ring throughout his career. Many were routine – he knew who was going to win and how they were going to win. But sometimes things don’t always go as planned – even in real life.
This past weekend, Goldberg suffered an accident while he was doing something that had also become routine to him, using his tractor.
