Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni mellowed out since his job was reportedly on the hot seat after a disappointing 2023-24 season.
After several offseason additions, Sirianni feels the team is on a better path. One of those key acquisitions was former New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley, who was generally viewed as the rival team’s best offensive weapon.
The Eagles coach spoke to the media on Tuesday as part of the team’s OTAs and shared his recent taunts with Giants fans following news of Saquon’s departure from New York.

DUBLIN, Ohio — Jack Nicklaus wanted to do right by the PGA Tour. So he went along with the plan to move his Memorial Tournament to the week before the U.S. Open, even if it was something he would prefer not to do.
Now in its 49th year, Nicklaus’s tournament that was first played at Muirfield Village Golf Club in 1976 has traditionally—but not always—been played two weeks prior to the U.S. Open and in the week following Memorial Day.
The PGA Tour sought to move it as part of its signature event series. And Nicklaus said it’s a matter that will continue to be discussed.

Major League Baseball announced on Tuesday that it will partner with the White House in efforts to reduce deaths from opioid overdoses, in part through an ad campaign this summer focused on drugs that can reverse overdoses, such as naloxone.
“I can’t think of a more important public health issue than this particular one,” says Jon Coyle, MLB’s vice president of drug health and safety programs.

Last year, a promotional giveaway item featured Aaron Judge’s already iconic No. 99 on the back of a basketball jersey, and fans went wild for it. This year, the New York Yankees wisely went back to the same giveaway with two big changes: This year, it’s white with blue pinstripes (last year’s giveaway was blue with white stripes) and it features their newest star: Juan Soto.

The reunion between Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics won’t be the only meeting of a player with their former team during the 2024 NBA Finals. Kristaps Porzingis will also be up against his old squad, having played for the Dallas Mavericks back from 2019 to ’21.
On Monday, Fanduel analyst and former Mavericks player Chandler Parsons suggested there was some bad blood between Porzingis and Luka Dončić stemming from their time as a tandem in Dallas.

The series this weekend between the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies in London will carry no shortage of star power.
The white-hot Phillies boast first baseman Bryce Harper, (injured) shortstop Trea Turner and ace-in-the-making Ranger Suarez. The struggling Mets can still point to shortstop Francisco Lindor, first baseman Pete Alonso and designated hitter J.D. Martinez.
New York cannot, however, point to pitcher Jake Reed—as he has not been on the team since 2022.

Prior to the start of the 2024 French Open, Rafael Nadal – who had won the event a record 14 times – announced this would be his last. Unfortunately for Nadal, he lost in the first round to Alexander Zverev.
That left just one of The Big Three, Novak Djokovic, left in the tournament. Roger Federer retired from tennis in 2022 (at age 41) and Nadal (38) is headed for retirement, as well. Djokovic (37) continues to play at a high level, but it’s fair to wonder just how much he has left in the tank.

There are hundreds of names etched on the Stanley Cup’s rings, but a fan has realized that there’s one name that has never appeared on the greatest famous trophy in sports but is guaranteed to show up after this year’s Cup Final: Evan.
Hell yeah. Score one for the Evans.
A fan whose name is — would you believe? — Evan, made this realization and posted his findings on X.
That’s right.

ESPN appears to have pulled some ads and promotions related to the highly anticipated return of Conor McGregor at UFC 303 as the Notorious One was scheduled to fight Michael Chandler on June 29th.
When one goes to ESPN+ and their UFC channel or on many of the ESPN entities, it appears some of the mentions and promo photos and videos for the McGregor-Chandler main event are no longer there, according to ESPN MMA reporter Ian Parker.
ESPN didn’t immediately respond to emails seeking comment on if there were any changes and what led to them.

Porzingis is scheduled to play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, but how healthy is he really?
Kristaps Porzingis has been away from basketball activities for the last five weeks after suffering a calf strain. The Boston Celtics marched all the way to the 2024 NBA Finals without him, but their toughest opponent yet is waiting next in the Dallas Mavericks. Porzingis has been expected to return to the lineup for Game 1 of the Finals on Thursday, June 6, but his latest comments on his injury aren’t exactly encouraging.
