The wide receiver and quarterback are expected to reunite in New York.
As the Jets try to complete a deal with the Packers for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, New York officially signed former Green Bay wide receiver Allen Lazard on Friday. The 27 year-old joins the Jets after playing for four years with Rodgers, developing a strong chemistry over that span.
While speaking with the media, Lazard didn’t shy away from questions about Rodgers and the Jets.

The 32-year-old will face off against John Ryder on May 6 in Guadalajara, Mexico, marking the boxing star’s first bout since his wrist surgery in October.
On a sun splashed stage in San Diego on Thursday, Canelo Álvarez was back in familiar surroundings. A confident opponent alongside him. A talkative promoter in between them. Cameras rolled. Photographers snapped pictures. Reporters lobbed questions. Álvarez’s title defense against John Ryder—ticketed for May 6 in Guadalajara, Mexico—isn’t a big event by Canelo’s standards.

It’s time for the greatest quarterback of all time to be a dad.
Tom Brady announced his retirement earlier this offseason, but after retiring and then unretiring last offseason, many wondered whether the maniacal quarterback is truly done with the sport.
This latest retirement announcement felt a bit different from the first though. Brady released a video on Instagram in which he said he was retiring for good, and was tearing up near the end of the clip.
When asked at a retirement party thrown by Autograph on Friday night in Tampa, Brady gave a definitive answer about his future.

No one in recorded history has had a longer surf sesh than one Australian ex-professional surfer.
His name is Blake Johnson and the man clearly feels at home in the water and doesn’t have a fear of sharks, drowning, or seaweed brushing against his leg.
Johnston is now a surfing coach, and he schooled every other surfer in the world with a marathon outing for a good cause.
The Aussie hit the surf off of Cronulla Beach at 1 AM on Thursday. If you’re wondering how he suffered in the middle of the night it’s because he came prepared.

Minnesota Wild goalie Marc-Andre Fleury was mic’d up when he nearly traded blows with Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington.
During a Wednesday night matchup, Binnington lost it after giving up a goal because he got clipped in his space. Honestly, it didn’t appear malicious. More accidental than anything, but that didn’t stop tempers from flaring.
Binnington wanted to have a go, and Fleury raced down the ice to get in on the action. Unfortunately, as documented by OutKick’s great Matt Reigle, the ref didn’t let the two goalies give fans a rare fight between men who guard the pipes.

The kicker spent seven seasons in the NFL.
Former NFL kicker Josh Lambo officially announced his retirement on Twitter following seven years in the league.
“Today, I officially retire from pro sports,” Lambo wrote. “Four years in MLS and seven in the NFL have led me to things I could only dream of, and now I want to help others accomplish their goals as I become a speaker and author.”
Lambo’s athletic career began in the MLS, as he was a first round draft pick by FC Dallas in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft.

Will Real Madrid repeat? Can Pep Guardiola and Manchester City finally win Europe’s ultimate prize?
This has been an unusual season, the break for the World Cup adding to a rare sense of unpredictability. This looks the most open Champions League in years, with the only side clearly in form, Napoli, never having previously gotten this far in the competition.
