PGA club pro Michael Block sank a hole in one on the par-3 15th during his final round of the PGA Championship and people can’t believe how he did it.
Michael Block was already the most amazing story of the 2023 PGA Championship. But what the 46-year-old did Sunday afternoon is truly amazing.
Block sank a hole in one on the fly on the par-3 15th. Rory McIlroy can be seen giving him a hug and breaking the news to him, as the club pro from Southern California is in disbelief.

It’s been a long road home for Mercury center Brittney Griner.
Incarcerated in Russia for nearly 10 months on drug smuggling charges, Griner was freed in a prisoner swap on Dec. 8. Much of the basketball world united around campaigning for her return, and she was greeted with an ovation before her first game against the Sparks on Friday night in Los Angeles.
Sunday afternoon, she returned home to Phoenix’s Footprint Center, where another thunderous welcome awaited her. It had been 585 days since Griner last played at home in the 2021 WNBA Finals against the Sky.

Michael Block’s fairytale week isn’t over yet as the PGA pro slam dunked a hole-in-one on the par-3 15th, as if this story couldn’t get any sweeter.
Michael Block isn’t finished winning over the Oak Hill Country Club fans as he slam dunked a hole-in-one on the par-3 15th. The ball didn’t roll in but went straight in on the fly. A hole in one is rare enough, but to do it that way is even more incredible.
Block couldn’t believe it either, and he kept saying, “No way. No Way.
It’s official: no matter who wins the PGA Championship, the story is Michael Block. The PGA professional, who isn’t even a member of the PGA Tour, has captured the hearts of America.
Not only did Block make the cut — an incredible accomplishment in its own right — but he’s remained in contention with some of the best golfers on the planet. Block told CBS reporter Amanda Renner that he spends so much time teaching golf to his students that he only hits about one bucket per week.
Talk about giving hope to all us amateur golfers out there.
Thoughts and analysis of the biggest storylines coming out of UFC Fight Night 224, including Mackenzie Dern’s beastly showing.
“I think you don’t truly realize what you’ve been through until you’re in hindsight looking back. In the moment, it’s like, ‘Duh, I can do this,’ but when I look back, I’ll probably look back like, ‘You really did that.
Hockey players are among the toughest athletes on the planet. They play the one team sport where players can fight each other during play and not get ejected. Plus, there’s nothing that really compares to blocking a 100+ mph slap shot.
Not only that, but the game itself is played on a giant block of ice. And the players skate around on sharp blades of steel. There is danger lurking in every shift.
So you’d think that during the offseason, hockey players would take a break from all that. Kick back, relax, have some fun. Stay in shape and exercise, of course.
Breanna Stewart already etched her name into the history books in her first home game with the Liberty on Sunday afternoon.
Stewart showed out during the team’s 90–73 win vs. the Fever, accumulating 45 points, 12 rebounds and three assists in just 30 minutes of play.
Her 45 points are a franchise record for the most points scored in a game by a Liberty player, besting the previous mark of 40 set by Cappie Pondexter in 2010. Stewart is also the first player in WNBA history to score over 40 points in her home debut, per ESPN.
Oklahoma’s quest for a third consecutive national championship rolled on with Sunday’s 16-3 win over Cal, which advanced the Sooners into the super regionals of the NCAA tournament. But even with a long road still to climb before, the team is already one win shy of making history.
Sunday’s victory was the 46th in a row for Oklahoma, putting the team just one away from the NCAA’s all-time record of 47 set by Arizona from 1996 to ’97. The Sooners will take on the winner of Sunday’s game between Clemson and Auburn in the next round.

Michael Block has been arguably the biggest story of the 2023 PGA Championship but you wouldn’t know it by watching Sunday.
Entering the final round of the 2023 PGA Championship, one could argue the biggest storyline was that of Michael Block. The 46-year-old PGA club pro sat at even par and tied for eighth as he tee’d off for his final round. He became the first club pro to start the final day of a Major inside the top 10.
One would have thought that CBS would be all over him Sunday.
