The top of East is shaping up to be a dogfight.

Sixers win sixth-straight, top Cavs, 118-109
This was an odd one, at least down the stretch. Joel Embiid — who finished with 36 points and 18 rebounds — fouled out with 4:12 remaining in the game, leaving the door open for the Cavs. That is, until the charging call for his sixth foul was overturned.

Lakers made a huge mistake by resting Anthony Davis
The Los Angeles Lakers have had an up-and-down season, to say the least. It started with a dismal 2-10 record after a loss to the Sacramento Kings. Then, they were deciding if it made more sense to move Russell Westbrook to the bench, and they were digging themselves a huge hole just 12 games into the season.
The Lakers would eventually move Westbrook to the bench, but that didn’t help them move up in the standings.

The Jets want Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers wants the Jets. The Packers don’t want Aaron Rodgers. This should be easy to resolve, right? It’s not. The Packers want a lot for Rodgers. They want more than they should, frankly. The Jets believe the Packers are being unreasonable.

Los Angeles reportedly wants to run this team back next year.
Kyrie Irving will be a free agent this summer and the star point guard has been rumored to be a target for the Lakers for over a year now in no small part because of his history with LeBron James. However, according to The Athletic’s Jovan Buha, Los Angeles won’t be pursuing him this offseason.
While appearing on the HoopsHype podcast, Buha reported that the Lakers made an offer to the Nets for Irving but ultimately felt like they were asking for too much—especially given the uncertainty that tends to follow Irving.

This actually makes a lot of sense.
Bill Belichick is arguably the greatest football coach in the history of the game.
He has so many Super Bowl rings as proof of that and he also created the biggest dynasty in NFL history with the Patriots.
While I’m sure he loves all of those big wins, it feels like he enjoys something a lot more than those games—watching tape of prospects and trying to find guys nobody else is really targeting. He’s been known to turn some of those players into stars.

New York is reportedly exploring the addition of the former Yankees and Orioles standout.
The Mets could find themselves in need of an extra bullpen arm, with the frightening injury to superstar closer Edwin Díaz at the end of Wednesday night’s World Baseball Classic game between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
Even before Díaz’s apparent leg injury, New York was reportedly kicking the tires on veteran lefty Zack Britton, a former Orioles and Yankees pitcher who had some of his best years under Mets manager Buck Showalter while in Baltimore.

Diving into the contract status of every F1 driver
Driver contracts are one of the various “mystery boxes” of the Formula 1 world. While some teams, such as Red Bull, are rather explicit and open about their drivers and their contracts, others keep details close to their vests. Many drivers sign contracts termed “multi-year deals,” which are generally understood to be two-year contracts with various options for both the team, and the driver themselves.

Wisconsin football coach Luke Fickell doesn’t want to rock the boat too much in Madison.
Fickell is now running the show, and after a very disappointing few years, Wisconsin fans are craving a hard reset to get back to the program’s winning ways.
That’s what Luke Fickell has been tasked with doing, but he’s not throwing everything out the window. In fact, he’s simply looking to “enhance” Wisconsin’s historic culture.
