Newly minted Philadelphia Flyers interim general manager Danny Briere knew he’d have some fires to put out, but he probably didn’t expect this one: Video of his son pushing a woman’s wheelchair down a set of stairs
It hasn’t even been one week since Briere took over the post that had belonged to Chuck Fletcher since late 2018. While he’ll want to keep his focus on righting the FLyers and getting that interim tag removed, he now has this distraction to deal with.

Aaron Rodgers once said it takes “a career, a lifetime, to build up a reputation, and only one misstep for it all to crumble” and now that idea is going to be put to the test.
Rodgers has decided to continue his NFL career. And Rodgers wants to play for the New York Jets.
In recent days the quarterback has shown his intentions by actually recruiting former Green Bay Packers teammates who are free agents to the Jets and also calling other free agents to try to convince them to also join the team, according to a league source.

It sounds like the PAC-12 might not be done just yet.
The west coast conference is fighting to survive amid an inability to land a new media deal. Without one getting secured relatively soon, the conference could face complete collapse with the Big 12 waiting to raid it.
While the outlook has been pretty poor for months, University of Arizona president Robert Robbins dropped some comments that could help calm the choppy waters of the PAC-12.

Let’s get even weirder than usual, March.
Before we get into the nitty gritty here, allow me to say that I’ve never felt less confident about a bracket. I went into this endeavor with zero clue who I was going to pick to win the national title, and once I arrived at my Final Four, I realized that I had serious issues with all four of the options I had left myself with.
And that’s why this bracket is destined to succeed.

Now let me try and justify why I think this is going to be one of the wildest NCAA tournaments in history.

Tampa Bay adds the former No. 1 pick as their potential starting quarterback in 2023.
The Buccaneers have their new starting quarterback, signing Baker Mayfield to a one-year, $8.5 million contract. It’s a prove-it deal for the former No. 1 overall pick, who will have now played for four teams in the last three years.
Mayfield had a solid rookie season, posting a rookie record 27 touchdown passes and averaging 17.2 fantasy points per game. Unfortunately, it’s been all downhill since then. In fact, he’s failed to average more than 15.

March 29, 2023 is set to be a big day for the future of college sports and the landscape of NIL. The Congressional House Energy and Commerce Committee scheduled a hearing on the Name, Image and Likeness rights of collegiate athletes later this month.
It is the first step toward a complete overhaul of NIL on a national level.

The committee spokesperson did not provide any additional information about who might be asked to testify at the hearing.

The wide receiver didn’t appear to be too pleased.
Following the news the Eagles will reportedly release cornerback Darius Slay, star wide receiver A.J. Brown appeared to respond to the decision on social media.
Slay’s camp and Philadelphia’s front office were unsuccessful in renegotiating his contract, and the five-time Pro Bowler is now set to hit free agency. Brown didn’t seem too pleased with the decision, as minutes after the report surfaced, the Eagles wideout posted a GIF of an exasperated Jonah Hill on his Twitter account.

The former Bears running back stays in the NFC North with the move to Detroit.
The first big-name free agent running back is off the board, as the Lions have signed David Montgomery to a three-year, $18 million deal. He’ll take over the role Jamaal Williams thrived in last year, as he scored a franchise-best 17 touchdowns.
Montgomery is coming off a subpar season in the stat sheets, posting 891 rushing yards, six total touchdowns and 177.7 fantasy points. That was good enough for him to finish as the RB24.
