The Jets continue to attract Aaron Rodgers’ by signing his former Green Bay teammates.
The Jets have signed veteran wide receiver Allen Lazard to a four-year, $44 million contract. The move appears to coincide with the Jets pursuit of Aaron Rodgers, Lazard’s teammate in Green Bay, though a trade has still not been announced.
(Yes, we’re all waiting Aaron)!
Lazard is coming off a 2022 season that saw him finish as the WR34, posting 60 receptions for 788 yards and six touchdowns. He also averaged a career-high 52.5 yards and 11.

Tampa Bay appears to have found the successor to Tom Brady.
The Buccaneers are reportedly close to bringing aboard the successor to Tom Brady: former No. 1 pick Baker Mayfield.
Tampa is finalizing a deal with Mayfield, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, paving the way for the 27-year-old to become the team’s starting quarterback in 2023. Mayfield will not be able to officially sign the deal until the new league year begins Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.
Pelissero reports that Mayfield and the Bucs reached an agreement on a one-year deal, worth up to $8.5 million.
Mayfield, the No.
“I want to take his title. I want to take his soul.”
Kamaru Usman is currently sitting on the wrong side of history.
And that is a part of his story he fully intends to rewrite. Usman lost in dramatic fashion to Leon Edwards in the main event of UFC 278 last summer, getting knocked out by a head kick with less than a minute remaining in the fifth round. Despite controlling the second, third, fourth and vast majority of the fifth, standing close to a unanimous decision and a record-tying victory, Usman instead became an enduring part of Edwards’s highlight reel.
The NFL punter-turned-host is in the second year of his contract with the company.
Pat McAfee’s rise through the sports media world saw him land a massive deal from FanDuel less than two years ago, but the former Pro Bowl punter is reportedly considering shaking up his situation yet again.
According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, McAfee could exit his four-year, $120 million deal with the company. He is currently in the middle of his second year with FanDuel on a contract that pays him more than $30 million a year.
At 25 years old, Stetson Bennett is older than quite a few quarterbacks that are currently in the NFL. He is hoping to join them in 2023 and it starts with the NFL Draft in April.
Before Bennett and his Georgia teammates reach that point, they must partake in the pre-draft process. It started with the NFL Combine last month and continued with the Pro Day in Athens on Wednesday.
Although a Pro Day script is catered to a specific quarterback’s strength, Bennett looked solid. He also got to share a really cool moment with his younger brother.
The Blazers star laments current state of what matters in the NBA.
1. You won’t often see an athlete open up in such an introspective and nuanced way like Blazers star Damian Lillard did with JJ Redick on the latest Old Man and the Three podcast.
Lillard, who is in his 11th season, spoke about how the NBA has changed over the years, and not for the better, in his opinion. Specifically, Lillard was referencing “ring culture” and how many people think the only thing that matters in a player’s career is winning a championship.
Forget about Aaron Rodgers or Lamar Jackson. What about the great Chad Henne!
New reports are coming out that at least one NFL team reportedly is saying the heck with trying to find a new NFL quarterback via the quarterback draft class this year and instead targeting proven veteran Chad Steven Henne. He also happens to be retired.
With all the backup QB movement, one team checked in this week with recently-retired QB Chad Henne and made him an offer to return, per source. Henne declined the offer and remains retired, for now.

Things are going from bad to worse for Ferrari and Charles Leclerc
When Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc closed his eyes before the start of the 2023 Formula 1 season and envisioned how he wanted the campaign to unfold, this is not the start he likely imagined.
Leclerc posted a DNF in the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix after a power failure on lap 40. That came hours after the team discovered a problem with the power unit control electronics in his SF-23, requiring Ferrari to change out the unit for a new one.
