Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German was ejected from his start Tuesday night against the Blue Jays after the umpire crew deemed he had been using illegal foreign substances.
German had worked through three perfect innings before the umpires assessed that his hands were too sticky and ejected him from the game. He needed just 37 pitches to get through three innings, striking out two.
As a result of his ejection for an illegal foreign substance, German faces a 10-game suspension from MLB, though he has the right to appeal.

Riley Gaines is a prominent figure in the fight to save women’s sports from being taken over by men. Gaines competed against Lia Thomas, a biological male, as an NCAA swimmer.
On Tuesday, Gaines testified in front of Congress and detailed some of the insane things that female athletes were forced to endure to accomodate Thomas.
Setting aside the fairness of allowing Thomas to compete against women, these women faced far worse conditions than losing a sporting event.

The series between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays has certainly not been boring.
Tuesday’s game became must-watch TV as Yankees star Aaron Judge was seemingly caught peeking into the dugout just before launching a massive home run.
Baseball internet immediately ran wild with speculation as to Judge’s reasons for looking at his teammates during the at bat. After the game, he defended himself by saying it was to discourage chirping from the bench.
Tuesday the plot thickened, as Judge went after the Blue Jays’ broadcast team for essentially accusing him of cheating.

Novak Djokovic has rarely shied away from making his feelings heard both on and off the court, and after he was irked by the actions of Cameron Norrie during a match in the Italian Open on Tuesday, he made his feelings known.
At the beginning of the second set, Norrie hit Djokovic in the back of the leg with an overhead smash as Djokovic had already turned around, essentially conceding the point.
Despite immediately attempting to apologize after the incident, it not received well by Djokovic.

The San Antonio Spurs won the NBA Draft Lottery on Tuesday night and are expected to make Victor Wembanyama, a 7-foot-4 wunderkind from Le Chesnay, France, the first pick in the draft on June 22.
Wembanyama, 19, is considered the greatest draft prospect since LeBron James of Akron, Ohio, 20 years ago. The Cleveland Cavaliers selected James, and he has won four NBA titles, leading the Cavs, Miami (two) and Los Angeles to the crowns. James and the Lakers were scheduled to open the Western Conference finals of the NBA Playoffs at Denver later Tuesday.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver shared that he was “shocked” in response to Grizzlies star Ja Morant’s latest off-court incident, in which he appeared to display a gun during an Instagram live video Saturday.
The league suspended Morant in March for eight games after an Instagram Live video surfaced of him flashing a gun at a nightclub in Colorado. Prior to issuing Morant’s suspension from the first incident, Silver spoke with the two-time All-Star.

The Oakland A’s are rapidly becoming one of Major League Baseball’s biggest embarrassments.
Attendance in Oakland has been, say, problematic, for a significant period of time.
The reasons for the erosion of fan support are multi-faceted. Partially due to ownership disinterest, fan disinterest and the worst stadium in professional sports.
But whatever little interest remains has been even further reduced in recent weeks.
Team ownership essentially announced their intention to move the A’s to Las Vegas by agreeing to purchase land off the strip.

Here’s our instant NBA mock draft after the Spurs won the lottery for the rights to Victor Wembanyama.
The 2023 NBA Draft will go down as one of the most anticipated in league history. It’s a deep class rich with talent at multiple positions, but there will be no suspense over the No. 1 overall pick.
Victor Wembanyama is the big prize waiting at the top of the draft, and the 7’5 French super prospect has the potential to go down as an all-time great because of his unprecedented combination of size and skill. Now we finally know where Wembanyama will start his NBA career.
