Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin suffered one of the scariest NFL injuries in history last season. On Monday, Jan. 2, Hamlin collapsed after suffering cardiac arrest on the field in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Hamlin remained hospitalized for over a week, recovering from the horrific incident. Doctors did not know if he could ever play football again.
But Hamlin is determined to return to the NFL. And Tuesday, he took a major step toward that goal. Hamlin practiced with his Buffalo Bills teammates during the first day of OTAs (organized team activities).

Jordan Spieth suffered a left wrist injury two weeks ago, forcing him to withdraw from the Byron Nelson. He powered through the PGA, but will it linger?
Jordan Spieth, who finished tied for 29th and 5-over par at the PGA Championship at Oak Hill, hopes to play again this week after battling a left wrist injury.
The PGA Tour returns to Spieth’s home state of Texas, with Colonial Country Club hosting the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth.
The tournament begins Thursday.

Football fans could be forgiven for disbelieving then-Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady when he announced his retirement on Feb. 1.
After all, hadn’t Brady just retired on Feb. 1, 2022, only to reverse course on March 13, just 40 days later? It seemed like Brady had fallen into a cycle of retirement and unretirement, not unlike Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre once upon a time.
However, on Monday, Brady did something crucial to seemingly slam the door shut on a potential return: he bought an ownership stake in the Raiders.

The Jets had an eventful practice on Tuesday, as their two biggest offseason acquisitions appeared to deal with injuries. First, quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a strained calf that kept him out of the session, although he claimed it wasn’t serious. Then, wide receiver Allen Lazard went down in some pain, but was able to return.
After practice, Lazard revealed he just took a hit in a sensitive area while on the field.
“I’m good y’all, not sure why they didn’t report that I practiced the rest of the day at 100% but I’m good lol,” he tweeted. “Just got hit in the gonads.

The Lakers will hope to retain Austin Reaves in free agency this offseason, and it seems the emerging star has hopes of remaining in Los Angeles, too.
Speaking to reporters Tuesday after L.A. was eliminated in the Western Conference finals by the Nuggets on Monday, Reaves said that he wants to remain a Laker.
“I want to be here,” Reaves said, via  Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times. “It feels like home.”
Reaves just finished the final season of his two-year, $2.
